We had the good fortune of connecting with Alfred Paila and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alfred, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
There are lots of things that could make me happy however, photography is definitely one of them. Reasons behind my happiness is that with photography, I make money and it allows me to be around beautiful women all the time. The demand of photographers has increased immeasurably. It is like a new trend and a very good prospect potentially. Women are always in the mirror and so do they want photos of themselves as well all the time. My past career in aviation has being working around men all the time whilst with photography, my clients are mostly women. I Love it because of seeing their beautiful smiles in their faces after a good shoot. It makes me feel good that my work is done and well accepted by the recipient.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love photography and by participating into varieties of shoots has set me apart from other photographers. I can participate in different shots if it’s Portrait, fashion, event, bourdoir, architecture, and even some weddings. Whatever photography, a customers needs, I can provide for them. The main thing here is the art of creating and making folks smile is what makes the difference and makes me happy too at the same time. I am proud of being a general photographer that could get my clients smiles and very happy after seeing their edited shoots. As a professional photographer, we must be aquainted with adobe light room which makes editing a clean sweep. Earlier when I started without professional editing tools, it was a great challenge but once adobe introduced LR, everything just fell in place. I will tell you that if it were not for those two photographer’s assistance, it would have been a little difficult to penetrate clients or customers. I want folks to know that in every business, we need a mentor to guide us from point A to B at least. I also want the world to know that photography being an art, depends on the individuals input and output creativity and moreover, his or her vision of its art he is creating

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I will love to take them to Fogo De Chao Brazilian restaurant in Scottsdale, The reason for chosing this particular restaurant is because of its artistic service of the food presentation to the tables. It is very interesting how they come around with different meats on a stick or kebab-like at the different tables every minute. Their service is excellent and their salad buffet is one of its kind. I will love to take them to the Grande Canyon for a whole day’s visit so they can see some of the Wild Wild West small country towns as well on the way. Definitely, I will love to take them for an excersize at the Macdonalds Camelback mountain climbing in scottsdale/paradise city. Finally we’ll end the weekend at Ocean 44 for our last dinner and then hit the bars in old town.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Tim Shields is one good photographer online and I learnt most of my photography skills from him since I started five years ago. I always watched his videos and training guides all the time. He is actually a Landscape photographer but I learnt a lot from his general techniques of photography. If anything, he inspired me. There is another guy by the name of David, he is also on line, he does portrait photography and always willing to show us his mastering skills of photography. Those are my main photographers that I trained from watching their different programs.
