We had the good fortune of connecting with William Johnston and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi William, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
My wife and I talk about the importance of making a positive impact on your community through hard work, honest and humility with our kids all the time. Our goal is for them to learn and realize that success isn’t always measured in bank account balances, but in how you treat others and how others view you.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Johnston & Co. is a multidisciplinary company that primarily focuses on real estate development. What sets us apart from others is our commitment to being a “steward” of the unique properties and buildings that we own and develop. We seem to always do things in a very methodical and thoughtful way, which tends to take longer and be much more complicated, but in the end, the results show the efforts during the planning phases. It would be great for the world to know that putting the end user/guest/employee/resident/tenant/etc. ahead of the bottom line is the best way to make positive change in your community and still have a very positive return on your investment.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend just came into town and we had one evening to try and get to a few of my favorite places and that consisted of some killer drinks at UnderTow and then a late dinner at Buck &Rider. If I had the whole day…the possibilities are endless! AZ has some of the best food, drinks, sights, hikes, activities in the US!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All of the successes of Johnston & Co. have been because of the team of people that work with us on our various projects. I want to thank my dad for sharing the importance of creating the best team around you in order to achieve your goals and for teaching me that being leader means empowering others to shine. Specifically for the Epicenter Project Retail Team;
