We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Neal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alicia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Passion. Our skin is our largest organ , it serves us a lifetime. We owe it consistent maintenance and with little effort it’ll stay healthy, radiant and strong. I am dedicated to helping others achieve a realistic skincare regime. I strive to make skincare a necessity and not just a luxury. I keep up with trends and offer a variety of services new/trendy and old staples that have been proven to be affective for decades. I maintain fair pricing which is crucial because everyone deserves to be able to afford to treat themselves. I keep a calm relaxing environment for guest to unwind and relax. Also , I continue to invest in advanced education and recently developed a tool which is trade marked and patent pending to help other Micro Blade Artist sharpen their skills
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is personal too me and for my clients , I strive to be a constant consistent energy for them. I have grown to admire and appreciate all of them. I feel connected and in some way play a small but positive role in their lives as I hear about their dreams, goals and families. I’m a support during life highs and lows. There is such a human connection that I get from my career. The beauty industry like most industry’s has it challenges but if you love it, work hard and continue to evolve you’ll grow. One major lesson that I’ve learn and strive to share in my branding to is that none of us is perfect; we all have insecurities and something we would like to change about ourselves. The beauty industry can give a false image of what beauty should look like; so I really try to show the perfection within my imperfections.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is hard because there are so many great places to not only visit but to eat your heart out. Ill say i am in a current season of going to The Parlor right now. Plus it us to be a old beauty salon which is nostalgic too me .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who have helped me along this journey. My biggest mentor is Melanie Vasseur a Cosmetic Chemist and founder of Vasseur Skincare. She inspired my passion for skin . My family and close friends always volunteered as tribute to be my Ginny pigs in effort to try out new services and products. I was inspired by many women to hustle and believe in my big idea. I have been lucky enough to be very close to business owners who encouraged me to push myself and not give up.
