We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
I think you have to be a good role model. Children follow your lead. If you want them off those devices, get off of them yourselves. If you want them to speak more kindly, speak kindly yourself. If you want them to have good morals and values, you need to show them what those are.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what sets me apart from others is I don’t compare my work to other artists or photographers. It hasn’t been easy. Nothing is. But I try to stay as true to my self as I can. The biggest challenge is to be yourself and don’t be afraid to express that.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well we would have to start with Sedona. Hands down my favorite place to go. Grand Canyon is a must see. Since there are so many different places and restaurants it’s really hard to choose. My favorite place to eat has to the Old spaghetti factory. Or Duck Donut’s for breakfast they have so many different varieties of donuts to choose from. Favorite place to go with the kids has to be Big Air trampoline park.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My boys. They are the ones that keep me dedicated. Keep me motivated.
