We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Waters and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It was really my clients who really motivated me to start my own business. They saw my passion for aesthetics. Even if it’s not with me, I’m here to assist in anyones aesthetics needs. I truly want what’s best for my clients and their skin. There’s so many people out there that are only trying to make a sale. It’s a shame. People waste so much money on bad products simply because they just don’t know. I’m here to educate, not sell.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m so lucky to have found what I love doing at such a young age. I started off my aesthetic career working for a plastic surgeon until he retired. I then moved on to world renowned, Canyon Ranch resort and spa. Which is one of the top spas in the world. There I learned so much and had the freedom to work with so many amazing skincare lines from around the world. As well as some amazing, wonderful high profile clientele. Following canyon ranch, I opened a beauty salon in Scottsdale, AZ. Although it was scary, I had a few hundred clients pushed me to enhance my growth in this world to help everyone. Not just the “rich and famous” deserve these specialty treatments and experiences. So I wanted to offer similar services at a lower price point. All while being in a more public setting where everyone can pop in to elevate their skin and beauty needs on a more realistic basis.
Although having a beauty salon for 5 years taught me a lot, that setting was not the energy or vibe I wanted for my clientele to be able to relax, breathe, renew, and recharge.
Luckily my unbelievably amazing clients kept my doors open during the pandemic and wouldn’t let me go under. I’m so thankful for all of them. I truly wouldn’t be where I am at without them and their support. Truly means the world to me. Thank you to all of you.
My next chapter is coming up. I’m thrilled and excited to announce that I am relocating my business, of almost 8 yrs, into Choulet Wellness in Paradise Valley January 2022!!
I know I’m on the right path and I couldn’t be happier about this decision. Dr. Brook Choulet wants the absolute best for her patients and that’s the exact energy I want around myself and anyone who walks through those doors. I’m in love with what I do and can’t wait to continue to share my love of aesthetics with all of you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When I have friends or family visiting, I must introduce them to delicious food scene Phoenix/scottsdale has to offer! Everything from Cafe monarch, Francine’s, steak 44, buck and rider, vencina, the gladly, crujiente tacos, mora Italian to casual spots like el norteno, Maria’s frybread, feednix taco truck, salad and go, and sushiholic! Mmmmmmm……… now I’m hungry. Hahaha!
I’d do a Sedona trip for the day, pack a lunch, and take them to sit in a secret location within the largest vortex and have a day splashing around in oak creek.
Maybe stay the night to try and catch a meteor shower.
Go to Mortimers Farm in Dewey, AZ to pick fresh fruit and vegetables and have lunch. Can never go wrong with farm to table. Yum.
And must check out the botanical gardens in Phx before they head out. Arizona is too beautiful to not be outside most of the year.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my mother. She’s always been my number 1 supporter and cheerleader. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without her. Love you mom!!! ✨♥️✨
