Meet Anthony Lue | Motivational Speaker/Athlete/Accessibility Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Lue and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, how do you think about risk?
You must take risks in order to grow. Getting outside of your comfort zone will teach you things that you never knew about yourself. You will make mistakes and you will learn from them. You will get a lot of No’s before that 1 Yes but if you do not take that risk, that first step, that chance on yourself, you will never know. Regret is one of the worst pains ever and you only live one life. When it is all said and done, you do not want to be saying “I wish I would have…” Take a risk, You just might surprise yourself!

What should our readers know about your business?
Business has always intrigued me. As I am still learning, I am hopefully making some meaningful change. As a motivational speaker and accessibility consultant with an acquired disability, I have a lot to say. Disability and accessibility are very misunderstood and super under represented in positions of power. The lack of education and ignorance surrounding the subject makes my head hurt. I am very fortunate to be young and able to articulate some of the issues I face on a daily basis. Helping to educate schools, businesses, organizations and whoever else about the benefits of diversity, equity and inclusion lights a fire within. Having lived 2 lives I am able to point out many discrepancies on how people with a disability or people of colour lack the same opportunities and experiences that everyone else gets. It has not been an easy road over the past 13 years but seeing the impact I can have on a local level gives me hopes for educating on an international platform. I am very excited for what the future holds for me and my business ventures!
I want the world to know that it doesn’t matter where you come from, what you look like or how you speak, We are all humans and should be treated with love and respect.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It’s all about U of A! BEAR DOWN! Depending on what season it is, there would be a fully packed schedule of events going on at the University of Arizona. Basketball, Football, Baseball, Softball and the list goes on. There’s even broadway performances for some of my classier friends! The food is amazing and we would definitely be finding a local Mexican spot to indulge in. After all of that I would try and coerce them into taking a nice long bike ride a long the Loop! I love riding the Loop and if it is not too cold we might even go and climb Mount Lemmon! If they aren’t cyclists we would simply drive up and visit the cookie cabin but it is not nearly as satisfying as a 3hour and 45min grind up using just your arms.
There is so much more to discover and I cannot wait to visit the rest of Arizona!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This section is not long enough to thank everyone who has played a pivotal role in my life. First I’d thank God for putting me in this position. Secondly my Mom. She has been a guiding light and an inspiration for me ever since I could remember. Like I said there are way too many people to thank and I am forever grateful for the support over my entire life. Coaches, family, friends, my fiancee and my manager have all been there to ensure I get the help I need to get where I am going in life!
One book that changed my life was Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins… the man is a savage and his mindset is one we all could benefit from
But most of all I have to give a shout out to me for continually evolving, grinding and never staying within my comfort zone. Trying to be a better version of myself than yesterday.
