Meet Baby Zilla | Musical Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Baby Zilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Baby, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In our society, there’s always a conflict between those who seem to have and those who seem to have not. That conflict is constant. In all of our lives we’re told that you want to be the person who has, and the safe play to get to the point of having is to join an institution. Institutions like, universities, colleges, police force, military, or work for somebody else dream to become realized. I decided at a young age that I wanted to be everything for myself, take ownership for myself, and build an economic portal around me and not live through fear.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started out creating music as a way to have fun and express what’s going on in my life. Im a pretty quiet kid, but once I touch that mic, I touch souls with my music. Ive been working two jobs while attending high school to invest in my craft. Perfecting my sound was a challenge but staying mentally focused and trying new things brought me to where I am today. Ive finally gotten to the point where I want the world to really hear my sound. I truly believe no one sounds like me and people will soon see as well. Im proud to announce I’ve been working on my first Project for the last few months releasing on all platforms within the next month or two.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Saltmine Studio Oasis. The unreal history created in this super low-key studio is outstanding. The engineers are the coolest -most humble people i’ve ever met. Owner Don Salter allowed me to come in with a warm welcome to record my project, and really liked a few of the songs I presented to him. In the city I spend time listening to the Beat Locker Show on Sunday nights on Power 98.3. This outstanding radio segment gives back to their own city of artist and musicians looking to expand their audience like no other station around the country.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is dedicated to my team I’ve built around me. My Mother, Step Dad, My Siblings, My Dear Aunt Nai, Uncle Mac, & Mizzo. They consistently push me to do better in life. They never let me quit anything ever. And they’ll always have my back in my weakest moments and I love them all for that.
