We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Kidd and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was to make a difference in the community using skills I had developed throughout my time earning my masters degree in psychology and working multiple retail jobs. I always knew I had a special gift: being able to understand what people want whether it’s just someone to listen to them, or to direct them to the right product that fits all of their personal needs.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I feel that what sets me apart from other businesses is my ability to develop a personal relationship with my customers. I strongly believe that people are put in your life for a reason, so when I speak to a customer and there’s an instant connection, I will remain in contact with them even after their purchase is complete and more often than not- they are not only a repeat customer, but they turn into an actual friend of mind that I talk to on a daily basis. My business has allowed me to connect with people all over the USA and provide me with solid human interactions that has made dealing with the pandemic bearable. I have only been in business since September 2019, but even in that short amount of time, I have learned many lessons that have molded me into an even better businesswoman. I couldn’t have done that without my strong support system composed of loyal customers, dedicated friends, and savvy business advisors. Above everything- I want people to know that I am in this for the long haul and will continue to grow and develop personally and professionally for many years to come.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take a friend who was visiting from out of town to all of my favorite places in Phoenix and the surrounding cities. I would make sure they tried the loaded nachos from Cheba Hut, any type of pizza from Grand Avenue Pizza Company, and have the warm donut sandwich from Novel Ice Cream. Wonderspaces is a must see when anyone comes to town, as well as Ideation Studios. There’s never a dull moment in Phoenix that’s for sure!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my business mentor for guiding me through the ups and downs of our industry and always motivating me to pursue unique opportunities. I would also like to shoutout my promotions manager for all her hard work and dedication supporting my business and brand. Without these two in my life, I know I would’ve never made it through the pandemic which started 6 months into me launching my company. I owe them the world and am eternally grateful.
