We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Vance and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Caleb, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for real estate. Growing up, I watched in awe as my parents and grandparents worked hard to build their own business. They taught me the importance of hard work, dedication and never giving up. This was the foundation that led me to pursue my dreams of owning my own business.
When I decided to pursue my own business, it came after that I knew there was something better then being in an office working a normal 9-5 and climbing the corporate ladder. I started by researching real estate and the different aspects of the market. I wanted to make sure I had a thorough understanding of the industry before I jumped in. After doing my research, I determined that real estate was a good fit for me and my skillset.
With my newfound knowledge and enthusiasm, I started to look for opportunities to start my own business. I looked into different ways to make money in real estate, such as buying and selling properties, renting properties, and investing in real estate. I was looking for an option that I wanted to be a part of myself. My dream of owning and becoming financially free by owning my own vacation rentals led my desire to help others achieve that as well. After a lot of research and consideration, I decided that starting a vacation rental business was the most viable option for me.
The thought process behind starting my own business was to create a business that was both profitable and enjoyable. I wanted to make sure I was making money, but I also wanted to make sure I was having fun. With a vacation rental business, I would get to work with something I love, real estate, and something that provides value to other.
I liked the idea of being able to provide a service to people in need of a short-term rental, as there are often times when traditional long-term rental options are not an option or they want to enjoy an incredible experience for their vacation.
In addition to the financial gains, I was also drawn to the flexibility that comes with owning a vacation rental business. I would have the freedom to set my own rules, create my own policies, and determine the types of guests that I wanted to cater to. I also liked the idea of being able to adapt my rental business to different seasons and special events, such as festivals and sporting events.
Overall, I was motivated to start my own business because I saw the potential for a successful business and the potential to make a good living. I was excited to take the plunge and start my own company and I am proud to say that my venture has been a success and I am now a successful real estate business owner. I am so thankful for the experience I have had and all of the lessons I have learned along the way.
I believe that the key to success in any business is to have a good understanding of the industry and to be willing to work hard. I also believe that having enthusiasm and passion for the business is a key factor in achieving success. I am so fortunate that I was able to pursue my dreams and find success in the real estate industry. I hope that my story can inspire others to pursue their own dreams and start their own businesses

Easy? Absolutely not. Nothing in life is easy, nor is creating a business. We have learned that if you don’t ask questions or seek advice then you are selling yourself short. We have leveraged like-minded individuals that provided us a different view and ideas that has helped us immensely.
We have learned, dont be afraid to ask questions and dont be afraid to take a chance. Whatever it is, in your personal life or business, taking a leap of faith and believing in yourself will only benefit you in the end, even if you fail a few times along the way.
We are successful vacation rental business and we want the world to know that we focus on providing a personal touch and keeping the company intimate. We are not a large, corporate business where things can get forgotten and swept under the rug.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If our best friends were visiting Scottsdale, Arizona, I would definitely take them on an adventure to experience the best of what this city has to offer!
For eats, I would take them to some of my favorite spots in the city. For breakfast, we’d go to Hash Kitchen, a local favorite for some of the best breakfast dishes and build-your-own Bloody Mary bar. For lunch, I’d take them to The Original Chop Shop for a solid and healthy lunch. For dinner, we’d go to Il Bosco for the best pizza in the valley!
For drinks, I’d take them to some of Scottsdale’s best bars and pubs. We’d start off with some classic cocktails at AZ88, followed by live music at The KAZ Bar.
For some fun outdoor activities, I’d take them to Camelback Mountain for some hiking and breathtaking views. We’d also golf at some of the best golf courses in the US. Our favorite and easiest to get a tee time at, McCormick Ranch.
For some shopping, I’d take them to the Scottsdale Fashion Square, a high-end mall with designer stores and boutiques. We’d also visit the Old Town Scottsdale area to explore the unique shops and galleries.
To top it off, I’d take them to some of Scottsdale’s best nightlife spots. We’d check out the wild and crazy of the “clubs” and bars of Old Town.
Scottsdale is a great place to visit and has so much to offer. With my itinerary, my friend would be sure to have an unforgettable experience!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am so grateful to my wife, family and mentors for their guidance, support and encouragement throughout my journey in real estate. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their support and guidance.
My wife is my number one supporter and business partner. She has been with me through the highs and lows. She has always been there to provide comfort and support, even when times have been tough. She constantly encourages me to stay true to my goals and to never give up on my dreams. She also is my business partner and she earns more credit for our businesses success. She provides what I can’t and brings the passion and fire to our business.
My parents and grandparents were also instrumental in my success. They instilled in me a strong entrepreneurial mindset and taught me the importance of hard work and dedication. My mom has always been there for me, offering her wisdom and advice whenever I needed it. She runs her own successful real state brokerage (The Agency, Bozeman) and having her knowledge and corporate background, she knows what it takes to create a successful business. My grandparents were also great role models and taught me the importance of having a strong work ethic and never giving up. They started from the ground up and is proof of how successful one can be just by working hard.
In addition to my family, I also owe a lot of my success to my mentors. I had the privilege of working with some of the most successful real estate professionals in the industry. They showed me the ropes and taught me valuable lessons that have helped me become successful. They also provided me with guidance and a strong network of resources, which have been invaluable.
I am also thankful for the countless books I have read in the field of real estate which have taught me so much. Books like Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and The One Thing by Gary Keller / Jay Papasan have helped me to gain knowledge and insight into the world of real estate.
Finally, I would like to give a shoutout to my local real estate community. I have found great success by networking with fellow real estate professionals and learning from their experience. They have provided me with invaluable advice and resources which have helped me to build my business.
I am so thankful for everyone who has helped me on my journey. Without them, I would not have been able to achieve the success that I have. I owe a lot of my success to their guidance and support. I am so grateful for all the help I have received and I will continue to strive for success in the future.
