We had the good fortune of connecting with Cheyenne Traficante and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cheyenne, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
This question hits hard because so many times I’ve wanted to give up. I’ve been a blogger/content creator for 4 years now and it’s not easy. It’s not even close to easy. So many people think we don’t put in work but it’s the complete opposite and sometimes it can be very overwhelming. Actually, most of the time. I have two littles and I’m pregnant with my 3rd currently. Being a mother, content creator, blogger and wife takes a toll. Sometimes you wonder “is this even worth it anymore?” “How do I continue to blog/create content when I feel like it’s just not worth the stress anymore?” The truth is, my kids see how hard I work, my followers know how hard I work. They see the behind the scenes, the struggles of getting content, getting blogs done, finding product, editing and so much more. I have followers who are in my messages constantly telling me how much I’ve helped them. You see blogging/creating content isn’t just about products, or motherhood or food, It’s so much more. It’s about my struggles, my battles, how I overcome these things, how I decide to keep going when I don’t want too. The truth is, sometimes I don’t know how I keep going. Sometimes I really just have to. Sometimes I don’t have a choice, because these little humans look up to me and they depend on me to stay strong and keep going. My followers/viewers depend on me to open and honest, to share the REAL raw truth. No matter if that truth is good or bad. They want to see it ALL. Your struggles help them keep going as well as yourself. When I share that raw, hard truth, they don’t feel so alone. They know they aren’t alone. They know they have someone in their corner rooting for them. I’ve been there, I’ve felt defeated. You have to remember why you started, why you keep going and hold onto that. You’ll need it more than you think. I have felt defeated more times than I can count, but I’ve also felt empowered, uplifted, rooted, all because of me building this life, Building these followers, building this audience that i’ve worked so hard for even when it didn’t seem worth it. These people, these humans, they count on me. You have to remember why you started and hold onto that. If you do that, you’ll never give up. You’ll feel defeated sometimes and you’ll feel like giving up, but you won’t because you have that WHY to hold onto.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a blogger/content creator. I work with hundreds of brands on Instagram, blog, Pinterest. It’s never been easy. It was really hard, especially in the beginning. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is IT TAKES TIME. Nobody just succeeds overnight. It takes time, patience, consistency and a lot of praying. Nothing is ever easy but it’s so so worth it. I’ve worked with brands I’ve never thought I’d get the chance to work with, I’ve been able to save more money than I ever imagined possible. I’ve been able to support my family on just my income at times. If you want something bad enough, WORK FOR IT. Do not give up, do not doubt yourself for a second. You can do anything!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would 100% take her to Sedona, AZ. It’s my home away from home. We love walking downtown Sedona, going to Jerome, Flagstaff, all over. So much to do down there and it’s so calm, peaceful and absolutely stunning. Sedona is somewhere everyone needs to visit at some point!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My audience. My followers, but most importantly My Children. They cheer me on, they uplift me, they make me want to succeed. They help me succeed. I wouldn’t be where I am today without any of them.
