We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Case and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have worked in the pool industry in a couple of different states. In this industry experience teaches you a lot of what you need to know. I wanted to spend more time with my family and two young boys and felt the best way to do that was to have our own business. I had the experience and felt it was a good time to jump in.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have worked with few different pool companies in three different states. I have seen different management and service styles. We are a small family business and take pride in building rapport with our customers to provide the best service for their needs. Having our own business allows us to be flexible within our business and personal lives. We have been able to grow our business by word of mouth and customer referrals. Our business has grown steadily and we are now looking into other avenues to increase our pool business. Along the way we have learned that there will always be obstacles however you must take action, find a solution, and move on.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visit for a week we would make stops in a couple of different cities. In downtown Chandler we would stop at The Local for their BBQ brisket loaded fries and local beer. Across the way is a comedy club that we enjoy for their improv night. In Tempe we would go to Mill Ave and visit Mellow Mushroom for delicious pizza and their closed off art show. We would have to make a stop at TopGolf for a unique experience and fun appetizers. In Scottsdale we would visit the Wonderspaces Museum for some interesting mind play. Depending on the time of year I might suggest a day trip to the Snowbowl in Flagstaff for some snowboarding.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my family for sticking through this new adventure. Running a business through the pandemic and my personal battle with cancer took a lot of teamwork and sacrifice. We were able to count on each other to push through all of the obstacles and are thriving together.
