We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Evans Joelle McCasland and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle Evans, how does your business help the community or world?
At FitLogistix we design fitness centers and supply all the equipment. After Covid19 we realized that we needed to shift gears and be an expert in all things revolving around keeping our clients and their clients safe. We decided to immerse ourselves in the world of air and surface sanitizing, understanding how important it is for everyone to exercise in a clean safe space. On that note FitHygienx was born. We have carefully hand selected products that from our research we knew would tackle the hard job of sanitizing each space we thoughtfully designed.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When we started our companies, it felt that right out of gate we were non-stop. In fact we always say it felt like the first 5 years we were running with scissors! One would think that having 2 women in business together would have it’s fair share of difficulties. We both would say that we can count on one hand how many true arguments we have had. We spend a lot of time together personally and professionally and we have raised our kids together. It is a unique situation and one that lends itself to a successful partnership. We are opposites in everything which we have learned plays a beautiful balancing act. We are the yin and yang helping one another see different possibilities and points of views. It helped us grow our business into a brand thoughtfully and carefully. This is the backbone of who we are and why we are successful. We are so excited at where we are going and the launch of our 2 newest companies.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a great question! Our company philosophy truly is “work hard and play hard.” When the weekend comes we savor each and every minute. We love food and we love cocktails. When we aren’t in each other’s pools you can find us sampling all the restaurants around Arizona! Our local go to would be Brickyard- from the creative appetizers to the craft cocktails we love that this restaurant is in our own Backyard. For a good steak you can find us drinking a Dirty Martini and eating the bone in Wagyu ribeye from Dominic’s. For sushi you can’t beat Roka Akor- but actually it’s the pork belly that keeps us coming back. Our Phoenix go to is Restaurant Progress- unbelievable food comes out of that small kitchen. Of course if we are looking for just a darn good burrito we won’t think twice about hitting the Si Senor drive thru in Chandler! If we were to sum up one of the best culinary experiences Arizona has to offer then Binkley’s in Phoenix is the place. We have been blessed to eat all over the world and I would always come back to the Binkley’s experience!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We were young mom’s when we started our first company FitLogistix. We couldn’t have done it without the endless support from our husbands Michael and Brent. Having careers of their own and taking on more than their share of the house and kids was instrumental in allowing us to grow this into a successful brand. Coincidentally our little company has expanded where both Michael and Brent are now full-time partners with us. We can truly say our business is a “family affair”.
