We had the good fortune of connecting with David Bryson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, how do you think about risk?
No matter what goals you set for yourself if you attempt to achieve them you must take some level of risk. 30 Years ago I wanted to be a professional actor so I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles with $2500 in a Red Honda Civic with no air-conditioning. 1 week later I was in a car accident after rent and car insurance deductibles I was literally down to $11. Did I “make it” as a professional actor, not to the level I wanted. Did I learn lessons that would serve me for a lifetime about persistence, overcoming adversity and always trying to innovate new ways to meet my goals, yes I did. Would I have learned those lessons without taking risk, absolutely not. We may not always get the results we want but we will always get a lesson we need to learn when we take risks and step outside of our comfort zone.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Challenges, I am starting over in a new career but very excited about it. I am looking forward to using all the lessons I have learned from life and other businesses to help me grow this business. It is a huge risk and a challenge starting over at this point in my life. it would be so easy to play it safe at this point but that does not seem to be in my DNY, lol. The good things is I have joined the Number #1 growing brokerage firm in the world, eXp Realty. They offer tremendous support and and learning opportunities. I am excited for lots of reasons, obviously for myself but more importantly for the people I can serve through being a Realtor. I recently became a first time home buyer and best thing about being a homeowner is the memories that have already been created in our home. My goal is to help others find a beautiful, nourishing and safe spot they can call come and fill with their own special memories. I feel my communication skills, care for others and truly listening to what people want and need will set me apart in this industry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely stop by the Wrigley Mansion and enjoy a Happy Hour on the patio while overlooking the sunset and the view. For dinner I would go to Picasso’s, multiple locations throughout the Valley and for dessert (Ice Cream) I would go to Sweet Republic. My wife and I like hiking at Tom’s Thumb and love walking along the waterfront in Downtown Scottsdale. There is so much to do in Phoenix/Scottsdale, golf, spas, professional and college sports. The Musical Instrument Museum is a must visit. Always a log going on. Do not forget to look up every night, Arizona has the most beautiful sunsets. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Too many people to name! My wife, Ines Piquet, deserves a huge shout-out, she encourages me and supports me in everything I do or want to do and offers incredible feedback to always make me better and strive for more. Thanks for always being by my side, thank you for the great adventures we have had and the ones yet to come. You help me to soar. I am also part of a networking group, BNI. Through BNI I have met so many incredible people and built to so many amazing relationships I do not know where I would be without BNI.
