We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Aubrey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Denise, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
With the glamorization of designers being shown across almost every TV channel, it’s easy to think that the design process takes place in a 45 minute show. In reality, It can take weeks and months to get client approved designs and begin the actual remodel process. But they do get the excitement of the reveal right. Everyone loves the reveal!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Everybody wants a beautiful home, but they often encounter costly and time-consuming stumbling blocks on their way there. I know because I’ve been there, even as a designer. Because of this, I have a certain type of empathy for my clients who really want a beautiful and unique space but don’t even know where to start. My team keys in on helping them find that first step, then holding their hand all the way from initial design concepts, all the way through install. Approaching every new job, armed with our hard-earned knowledge, allows us to expertly guide our clients from concept to completion.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A key part of showing a friend around the city has to involve food. The Phoenix metro area has so many great places to eat, it’s hard to narrow it down to just a few places. Sushi at Temari in Gilbert is world-class, Mediterranean Food at the Flaming Kabob in Mesa is both healthy and delicious, and Pizza and dessert at La Grande Orange in Phoenix are some of my favorite foodie hangouts.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am surrounded by an amazing group of talented and capable women that comprise my team. Their selfless approach to design and to building our brand is incredible. Over the years we have slowly grown and each new team member adds so much to the whole.
