We had the good fortune of connecting with Disrespect Boyz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Disrespect Boyz, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Disrespect Boyz (DB) exemplifies the importance of risk-taking in music and performance. By blending punch-in rap flows, punk rock screaming, and trap beats, they challenge conventional genre boundaries, inviting listeners to explore new sounds. Their emphasis on authenticity over trends resonates with fans seeking genuine expression, proving that risk can lead to deeper connections.
In live shows, HaZard’s acrobatics and breakdancing add a physical element that captivates audiences. This willingness to innovate reflects a broader philosophy: that pushing the limits of performance can create unforgettable experiences. Their humorous critiques of societal norms encourage dialogues about authenticity, inspiring others to embrace their true selves.
Ultimately, Disrespect Boyz shows that taking risks is essential for artistic innovation and connection, making a powerful statement about the value of stepping outside comfort zones in the music industry.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

We’re always most excited about creating new music and having fun with our friends. The past year has flown by, and we credit our success to our dedicated and passionate team. When we work together, we feel unstoppable. Being in a group allows us to delegate tasks, making it easier to bring our visions to life. In our first official year in the industry, we faced the challenge of being apart. Bo Burnout moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Philadelphia in March 2024 to join HaZard and build connections on the East Coast. Soon after, HaZard, a professional acrobat and dancer, started touring with Flynn Creek Circus, performing over 100 shows in four months.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group—DirtyDapper, photographer Travis Montoya, and our new manager Ads Aguilar—stayed in New Mexico. This separation pushed us to improve our communication and stay focused, ultimately bringing us closer together and inspiring some of our best work.
During this time, each of us created solo EPs that share our individual stories and showcase our unique sounds. This helps our fans get to know us better and understand what each member contributes to the group. Although we’ve known each other for varying lengths of time, it felt like we were lifelong friends as soon as we came together. We’re excited about the future and committed to striving for success every day.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Although the entire group hasn’t been together in Philadelphia yet, when members fly out, we often head straight to another state for a show. During our time in Pennsylvania, we enjoy hanging out at FDR skate park, local events or just being together in the studio creating and enjoying Mediterranean, halal or basically any cuisine we aren’t used to having back home, along with the occasional cheesesteak for those experiencing Philly for the first time.
Most of our bonding has come from creating and performing our art, as we’ve been focused on achieving our goals since we formed the group. In the next five years, we aim to achieve our desired lifestyles through our art and message, seeking financial stability while doing what we love.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’re incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our close friends and family. Your encouragement has been a driving force behind our boundary-pushing sound, inspiring us to be ourselves and follow our dreams.
The belief you have in us motivates us to create authentically. Your love fuels our performances and pushes us to succeed—not just for ourselves, but for the betterment of our families and loved ones. Thank you for always being there for us!
