We had the good fortune of connecting with Edgar Alejandro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Edgar, how do you define success?
Success must be obtained from the process instead of the result.
It’s important to define and manage your expectations before beginning a project.
To me, Consistency is success.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My most recent undertaking was also my most ambitious
“EMBER’S EDGE” Is my First Feature Film. I Wrote, Directed and Self-Funded it last year. We had our World Premiere earlier this year.
The entire process was full of hills and valleys:
From Pre-Production, where it was simply an idea in my head, all while taking on a second job to raise funds. It was also necessary to create a compelling story that took advantage of the resources available to me. Indeed, a resourceful filmmakers must creatively tell their story with their limited budget! We had tremendous talent to choose from during the casting process, and during rehearsals I ensured that every actor contributed to building their character.
Production was 14 intense-filled days where the entire cast and crew travelled to Utah to tell this story. As the bulk of the story takes place in the deep forest, we knew that mistakes had to be minimal. It was an eery out-of-body experience, watching the pages on the script come to life.
Post-Production was the third time we got to re-shape the story. Discoveries were made, tricky workarounds for covering up blemishes, and final touches to the sound and visuals were implemented by myself and my business partner [we Co-Edited this film].
Currently, ‘Ember’s Edge’ is in the Film Festival Circuit.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Fortunately, I also run a page called Munchies Vegas, where we explore the most unique Las Vegas Restaurants!
I’ve had the privilege of eating and filming the most stellar venues for my channel, but my recommendation is to stay away from the Vegas Strip if you’re looking for reasonably priced food!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s many mentors to thank.
My former teachers, current business partners & clients… although if I had to hone in to one specific person, I’d likely single out my father. He introduced me to classic films and gave me a hard work ethic.
