We had the good fortune of connecting with Eric DuBois and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eric, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
I realized early on that I can’t do it all myself. I need the support of family, especially my wife and also need a good crew at shop.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There are plenty of good auto repair shops around, and some not so good. We have never been purely motivated by money, meaning we are not trying to squeeze every last cent out of every customer. We are up front and honest with every one and I think this is why we have enjoyed success thus far. It seems like if you just listen and take care of people and truly are genuine in this industry, you almost can’t fail.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many cool places in our state. My preference would be outdoors somewhere. Maybe head to Jerome or get in some hiking somewhere on the rim. Camping and jet skiing at Bartlett lake is always good, or just heading out on any of the numerous off road trails in my 4runner. And for evening entertainment you cant go wrong with checking out bull riding at The Roadrunner Restaurant or just sitting around a fire and telling stories over a glass of wine.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife for her patience and her encouragement even when I know she sometimes thinks we’re jumping a little too far for comfort.
