We had the good fortune of connecting with Erick Pineda and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erick, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is essential, calculated risk is crucial. No risk it, no biscuit.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We’re excited to release our 2nd full length in the coming months. This time around, we really focused on writing a cohesive album together. We approached the way we wrote and recorded differently and although difficult, we feel it’s our best work to date.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Before Covid, we would have breakfast at Ollie Vaughn’s, patio drinks at Linger Longer Lounge, Gracie’s Tax Bar and end the night at Bikini Lounge.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Mike Montoya of the Phoenix band Fatigo. He helped me grow as a songwriter. His ability to combine sharp songwriting with great melodies really inspired me. We also have the same birthday and went to the same high school!
