We had the good fortune of connecting with Fe’La Iniko and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fe’La, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m From a Gentrified City of LA County Called Palmdale. I found out early as a kid that you could have an impact on how people choose to feel and living in a community where there is so much Struggle and Oppression, it influenced me to want to be the person people look to for Peace and Love.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My Ability to make Music isn’t what makes my Music Great. That comes from experience and Hard work and Studying my Craft. What makes my Music great is what I Choose to speak about and my ability to make music with a Moral message. Putting words together is easy, just like being a Rapper is easy. If all I wanted to do was Put words together to make music and have a better life, I’d only pursue the ambitions that come with that and I’d only go through life trying to just be successful. But wanting to make a difference and wanting to be an impact to the world caused me to go through life with a different lense. It’s caused me to pursue the ambitions that pertain to how people feel and think to better there journey to peace. It’s caused me to pursue the knowledge and wisdom that can lead the people to peace . And pursuing such things has allowed me to attain such knowledge and create art through that ambition. I’ve gotten where I am today because I know the urgency our people are in for Peace and it drives me like a Brother trying to save his Brother and sister from danger . You’d never give up saving someone you love and will do what ever it takes. That urgency has been with me since I was a kid . It hasn’t been easy at all. Nothing in life is easy but the satisfaction of people having peace and love is worth it everytime . I’ve learned that the most important goal in life to pursue is Peace N Love. Success , money, etc is without saying because AMERICA Programmed that In us from the beginning . But they didn’t program Peace N Love and we usually don’t understand that until it’s a Life long habit we have to fight . So pursuing Peace within and love for self and all help be more successful in life .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m Really not too sure where I would take them because I’m not really from here like that. Probly Sedona to see some sights Can’t go wrong with lunch at In and out. People who have knowledge are always cool to be around . And being with nature is always better than being in the city .
