We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabrielle Montano and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabrielle, what do you attribute your success to?
I realized and reflected on the experience I already had in banking/finance, title and mortgage lending for the previous 20 years plus and naturally gravitated towards Real Estate. It would provide the freedom of flexibility for my children as well as provide growth possibilities within the same career. I’m able to do something that gives me purpose while providing for my family.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe one important thing that sets me apart from others is how I view this career I’ve chosen. Some may say it’s a sales position but I 100% believe that I am in the people business. Setting a foundation for a referral-based business in real estate is not easy it’s about setting a solid foundation creating relationships and working hard so that each and every client you help along the way has a good impression of you and your work ethic. When they, their friends or family need a realtor for example they think of me. That is my goal moving forward with each and every client. It wasn’t easy as a high percentage of licensees fail the first 2 to 3 years. I actually received my license during one of my most difficult times of my life but pushed through and stayed solid with who I am and what I have to offer each and every family I help. My children were a big motivator, my own work ethic and focus. And I didn’t take failure as an option. This is what I wanted to do and I wasn’t going to stop until it provided the life that I wanted for me and my children. I continue to grow 10 years in. Working on my brokers license to have my own team/office in the near future. There’s growth to be had and I want it. There’s no end to what I want to do, learn and accomplish in this career. I have a passion for it and that’s critically important in the longevity of this career.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them on one of our amazing hikes like Peralta Trail for example. In the East Valley I’d take them to the Olive Mill, Boyce Thompson Arboretum for the day. Downtown Gilbert to eat, shop and walk. Central Phoenix there’s SO many options! The Vig in central Phoenix, the Chinese Friendship garden. I’d take them up on South Mountain at sunset for the beautiful views of the valley. Take a short drive up north to Prescott for an amazing lunch/dinner and walk in the downtown courthouse area…so many things!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my children. All 3 of them. They are my purpose. My WHY and everything that motivates me constantly to set a good example of living a life of integrity and purpose every day and working hard towards my goals. Never giving up or settling for what others may expect of you within their own limitations of who they think you are.
Credit to my clients who gift me these memorable moments with their families every single time. Grateful and proud to have 2 military certifications to assist our Veterans with pride, knowledge of their benefits and the best service like they deserve.
