We had the good fortune of connecting with Geibral Elisha and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Geibral, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Since I was a child, I had dreams of becoming a musician, and I began playing a few private events here and there around 2011. This was also when I started putting out some of my own music as a demo cd, and online. Because of this, I got an opportunity to play the keyboard for a few valley artists. I had a good time and made some solid connections, but it wasn’t a good fit stylistically for all parties involved. My imaginative solos and chord choices weren’t appropriate for the type of music I was playing. This was my foot in the door with an indie show promotion company, which ended up leading to me playing my music. I had such a blast doing my own thing, which inspired me to play my music around town.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I don’t believe anything sets me apart from others because all artists are influenced by those who came before them. There’s nothing new in music, but with that said, I do allow myself to have the freedom to create whatever I choose without the boundaries of genre confining it. Which also isn’t a new or radical concept in music. One of the hardest things I had to overcome in music was learning how to play overall. I am not formally trained. I instead had to do tons of listening and praying to learn how to play the piano. This method took a lot longer than I anticipated, but I didn’t give up, and I trusted that it would pay off. Which one day it did almost suddenly in 2011. This strengthened my resolve, faith, and confidence in playing the music that moves me, which changes from time to time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I honestly don’t have a favorite spot in the city. I would much rather spend my time in quiet places like the mountains and woods. So, I would take a good friend on a road trip up to the mountains outside of the town of Payson in Arizona. It’s one of my favorite spots. I’d rent a cabin, and then we would hang out there and connect with nature, eat, share stories, and detox from all of the outside distractions of technology and city life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All praise be to God for giving me the ability to try and recreate the things I felt within. And also to my father for encouraging me to play what I heard inside my head. It wasn’t always pretty, but he encouraged me never to give up and keep trying until I got it. Infinite thanks!
