We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Noyce and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gina, what do you attribute your success to?
I would say the most important factor of my success would be staying true to what I believe and what I want for my business and myself. It is easy to be persuaded by so many outside factors wether it is other people, social media, etc. Someone always has an idea or opinion of how you should do it or how thing should be. My business is called “No Vacancy Ink”, with the meaning being there is no room for anyone or anything that doesn’t benefit myself or my business. If you truly believe in what you are doing and love what you do, stick to it and stay relentless and things will begin to fall into place exactly how they are meant to.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love tattooing because it allows you to create something unique and beautiful that someone carries with them forever. I began as a color artist and now also really enjoy black and grey styles, especially those with a darker twist. I take a lot of pride in being a female tattoo artist in an industry that is primarily male dominated. It has been challenging to stay the least. I just continued to stay true to how I felt and what I believed. I’ve taken lessons from each obstacle I’ve over come and used them to help me now open my own business, No Vacancy Ink. I encourage everyone to remain humble, but also stay true to what you believe and know when to put your foot down. Stay relentless and believe in yourself above everything else.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Phoenix is huge, with so much to do! There’s a little bit of something for everyone. I love the eclectic vide downtown Phoenix has, with art everywhere and tons of fun places to eat and drink. I love early morning Saturday trips to local farmers markets. I am also a huge outdoors person, there is tons of hiking trails or a short trip out to the lake to cool off is always fun too.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shout out to my tattoo mentors, close friends, and my boyfriend for pushing me to continue going even when I didn’t feel like it. I hit a low point momentarily and questioned wether this was right for me. They quickly turned my mindset around and encouraged me to keep going. Because of their continual support I was able to make the jump to now work for myself and run my own business. My appreciate and gratitude goes beyond words.
