We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Wilhoite and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, what inspires you?
What inspires me is, When I was younger my mom submitted me for a background role in a film. It was my first time on a set and as the crew was filming, I saw the actor as the character, no matter how many takes they did, the actor stayed in character. I was in awe on how much skill they had as a story teller. It was the most memorable event of filming that day for me. I instantly knew that was going to be me someday!”

Up until then being an actress never occurred to me. I had been modeling and found joy in that. After watching the actress and see her become the character, I was starstruck. I wanted to do what she did, act in TV and Movies and become the character that I was portraying.

I also see famous actresses (such as Angelina Jolie) working for good causes such as child hunger and UNICEF and would love to be able I achieve that level of success. To be able to help others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My passion is both Acting and Modeling. My Modeling Coach says what sets me apart from others is my long hair, my humbleness and my ability to listen and learn. My teachers in school tell me the same thing.

I’ve gotten where I am today from extensive training, both in Acting and Modeling. It hasn’t been easy. I’ve had auditions that were on the same day and time as my piano lessons, or I’ve had auditions in LA where we had to travel from Phoenix to LA on short notice. I’ve done Auditions where I thought I was perfect for the role and never heard back from the director.

What has helped me overcome not getting a part or role is knowing that the more trained that I am means the better I am getting in my craft and having a support group that helps keep me grounded.

What I’m most excited and proud about is being cast in a Docuseries called Models on the Move that Premieres on January 28th, and being able to attend the Red Carpet Event, as well as being cast in a Feature Film, which is a Western, that starts filming soon.

The lessons that I’ve learned along the way, is everything takes practice, time and patience, no matter what it is. What I want the world to know about me is when I’m not acting, I’m just me, Hannah Wilhoite, just a small town country girl who loves making Cosplay videos on TikTok, singing to Country Music when traveling in the car and hanging with my friends and family.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend was visiting, I’d take them to the Ruins in Cave Creek. We would have a picnic and eat burgers and hotdogs that we cooked on a grill. Then we would walk the trails to the Ruins. Then I would take them to Seven Springs where the water goes over the road to catch baby frogs. The next day I would take them to Superstitions Mountains and to Goldfield Ghost Town. We would walk down Main Street and would visit the shops and the historic buildings. We would enjoy lunch at the Saloon, then enjoy we would enjoy watching the Old West Gunfight. On the third day I would take them to Tombstone to see the historical shootout at the OK corral and to walk around town and visit The Birdcage Theater, we would stop by The Fallen Angel Sweet Sin Parlor and enjoy Gelato and Salt Water Taffy. Then enjoy dinner at Big Nose Kates Restaurant. Lastly I would then take them to LA, to spend the weekend. We would go Santa Monica Pier visit the attractions and enjoy swimming at the beach. We would go to Hollywood walk of Fame, visit The local shops and end the evening eating at BJ’s in Glendale, CA.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have no doubt that I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my Modeling coach with More Than Modeling, she believed in me and saw something in me and pushed me to get better when walking on the runway, or posing in front of the camera. She took me under her wing and has guided me throughout my career so far, both in Modeling and Acting. I can’t thank her enough for the mentor she has become to me.

I take acting classes with Deborah Lemen in LA, which has been amazing. I’ve had the opportunity to work with both Deborah as well as Finola Hughes (Anna Devain) from General Hospital in acting workshops. Which has helped me grow as an actress.

I also want to credit my Classical Piano Teacher Lillian Coulter who through Piano has taught me self awareness, timing and control and discipline which all play into acting. Memorizing Pieces has also made learning sides much easier for me. I can’t forget my mom, Sharon Wilhoite who has put up with taking me to auditions for both Acting and Modeling, and supported me throughout this journey. She is my rock and I admire and Love her so much. I credit all of these amazing ladies for helping me get where I am today.
