We had the good fortune of connecting with Harold Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Harold, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
In many ways, it found me from an early age. I’ve held many different jobs, but I was always lead back to my artistic interests.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It has been very difficult through the years…many challenges, diversions, along the way. My wife’s support and understanding has made it worthwhile.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
With a painting buddy, travel through Death Valley, painting along the way, to Bodie, CA. Painting there as well……or….My wife and I travel to the coast of Maine, to visit all the Wyeth locations and museums
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
no choice but to be self-taught, I have been and still am inspired and in a continuous study of the works of Ralph Pereida, Eric Sloane, and Andrew Wyeth. There are others, as well, but these three are always there.
