We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaleaa Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaleaa, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I understand the philosophy that no risk can lead to no rewards. Taking calculated risks has been crucial for business success. For example, leaving behind a stable 23-year nursing career to start a holistic healing business was a leap of faith that involved risks.

However, not taking that risk and waking up in 10 years full of regret for missing that opportunity would have been an even bigger risk. The risk of inaction and lack of fulfillment can often outweigh the risks of pursuing your dreams and passions. While risks should be approached strategically, one must have the courage to take a chance on a new venture to achieve one’s full potential. Fortune favors the bold, as the saying goes!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start with a day in nature in Sedona. Visiting Oak creek, taking a plunge at the swim hole. Followed by a holistic Vegetarian meal at Chocola Tree. Lastly a mindful walk at the Budda Peace park.

Day two in Phoenix we will start with a fresh juice from Ms Bs garden and a few hours of volunteering in the garden.
Afternoon lunch at Trash Panda vegan food truck.
Night time mix and mingle at the Luxe Cafe.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My dear Sister Friend Stella!!

Stella and I started off as a nurse client relationship that quickly turned to a blooming friendship. Stella is my go to. She has a way with words that calms my mind and lift my spirits. No matter what the problem is she’s there to help me break it down and attack it Piece by piece .
