We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeannette Musset and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeannette, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I began Healthcierge Medical because I noticed a gap in the healthcare system. As a Naturopathic doctor, I observed that patients were not receiving the personalized care and attention they needed. In typical doctor’s offices, appointments are rushed and important aspects of a person’s health, such as sleep, diet, and social well-being, are often overlooked. This lack of quality care motivated me to establish a business that offers personalized, patient-centered plans.

At our clinic, our aim is to empower patients to take control of their health, receive top-notch care, ask the right questions, and achieve optimal health outcomes. We go beyond the traditional model by providing individualized attention, spending quality time with each patient, and delivering comprehensive care. By combining the art and science of medicine, we can improve health outcomes and help people lead their best lives.

Starting Healthcierge Medical has allowed me to pursue my passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives. I am enthusiastic about creating positive change and empowering individuals to elevate their health and and wellness.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What makes me proud of Healthcierge Medical is our unique approach to healthcare. We serve patients from different backgrounds, which gives us a distinct advantage in accessing outstanding data. For example, I have gained insights into which supplements work effectively, regardless of a patient’s genetic makeup. We formulate herbal preparations from scratch, taking into consideration various factors such as fast or slower metabolizers, busy schedules, frequent travel, and individual preferences for liquids vs pills. At Healthcierge Medical, we truly go above and beyond to ensure our patients are well taken care of.

Our patients are highly motivated and feel empowered to prioritize their health. On average, patients begin to see improvements in about three weeks, and this progress continues over time. We believe in transparency and honesty with our patients. If they are doing well, we don’t hold them hostage and continue unnecessary appointments. Instead, we transition them to seeing us once every six months. Our patients truly appreciate this approach, as they see genuine improvements and are not burdened by frequent visits.

I realized in my second year of medical school that I wanted to have my own practice. During a clinical rotation, I witnessed a Hispanic patient being treated poorly because the students and the attending physician failed to consider the patient’s cultural background, including important aspects like family dynamics. This experience motivated me to open a clinic where people from different cultures would feel comfortable and be treated by a culturally competent doctor.

It hasn’t been easy, but having mentors has made the process less intimidating. Their guidance and support have been invaluable in navigating the complexities of starting and running my own practice.

I’ve learned that integrity and honesty are the most important aspects of running a business. I always put myself in my patients’ shoes and recommend treatments based on their needs, not on potential profits. Additionally, I’ve learned that proximity is power. Surrounding myself with the right people has kept my mindset sharp and maintained my momentum.

I absolutely love what I do at Healthcierge Medical. It brings me immense satisfaction to witness the positive impact we make on our patients’ lives, and to see them taking control of their health and thriving.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love staying active, so I’d start our day with a pilates class at Camelback Village Club. Afterward, we’d treat ourselves to brunch at Cala. Following that, we’d go to the Spa at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia for some relaxation. For a special treat, we’d enjoy champagne tasting at Mountain Shadows. Later, we’d head to Global Ambassador for happy hour and then dine at Francine. We could also explore Oldtown and shop at Amy Atelier for a perfect end to our day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am deeply grateful to my family for encouraging me to pursue my dreams.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my mentor, Bill Walsh from Powerteam. His guidance and business expertise have been invaluable, and I truly cannot imagine where I would be without his support.

I want to express my appreciation to my close friends Lea Lopez and Arvin Baca from MVP Mastermind group for their guidance and friendship. In the often solitary journey of business, having supportive friends makes a significant difference.

I want to thank John Maxwell for his impactful leadership teachings, and I attribute much of my growth to books like “Sell It Like Serhant,” “Business Made Simple,” and “Book Yourself Solid,” which have provided invaluable insights on my entrepreneurial journey.
