We had the good fortune of connecting with jennifer o’shea and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi jennifer, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am from New York City and I hadn’t moved away from there until I was 30. My husband at the time was in the military and they moved us to Spokane, WA. I believe that being from NYC was an experience in itself and experiencing life in that manner is so different from the west coast. It has made me see and realize the value in relaxing a little in life when living on the west coast!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a 3rd grade teacher in Washington and I am in the middle of completing my principalship to advance in my career. I love my school and my teaching partners and the students, but teaching has changed so much since I started 9 years ago. So many challenges now after going through the pandemic, we are learning and adapting on a daily basis. One thing I have learned along the way is to work hard and don’t give up. That applies to my professional and personal life. I am also a blogger as well. My blog is called Teach.Workout.Love. I focus on moms who do it all. I started my blog because I moved across the country and I didn’t have any friends. By blogging, I was able to connect with other moms who were doing the same thing that I was. In time it turned into a business and now my blogging is my second business and income. I’d love the world to know that being a mom means so many things and we need a little time for a coffee break sometimes!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Spokane, WA, first thing I would do would be to drive them around. Spokane is beautiful and has so many pretty mountains and lakes. Then we would go over to Couer d’alene to the lake and walk around the town. They have some cute stores on their strip and we could go shopping, have a beer, or get some coffee. Then i would bring them to a restaurant in downtown Spokane to see Riverfront park and the big radio flyer wagon. Then bring her up to Greenbluff to the fields and maybe a winery!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My daughter Hailey for going wherever I need her to go with very little complaints
