We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Stellwagen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My sister and I recognized from day one, that people don’t buy products or services, they buy the emotion they will feel once they use the product or service. Our entire job is to create a brand and an experience that leaves people feeling better than they did before interacting with us. Even if they don’t buy, we want every interaction to uplift and spark joy! The world can be tough and people can feel beat up, why not create a business that truly leaves people feeling better!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Bodify pours heart, passion, and enthusiasm into every aspect of our business. The CoolSculpting world is far too competitive and saturated to succeed if you are average. You have to be spectacular in all you do. We built the business from the ground up, so my sister, Melissa, and I were able to be very intentional in everything that we created. Our biggest focus has been and will always be the client experience. We love freezing fat, and we love changing bodies, but more than anything with love interacting with men and women and leaving them feeling better after having interacted with us. It’s a simple gift we can give to ever caller, anyone who emails or sends a text message, and every client or perspective client who walks through the door. Our team in comprised of people with heart and who aspire to uplift and spark joy at every opportunity. It makes a world of difference not only in our team culture and environment, but also in our success. Sadly, most businesses drastically miss the mark when it comes to client or customer experience.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First and foremost, let’s get outside and celebrate that we are free and have the ability to be active! We’d hit the mountain preserves behind my house and hike in the early am to beat the AZ heat.

I’d then swing by Human Being on 16th street in Phoenix, not only do they make the best Cafe Breve, they always light up when my dogs show up, and offer them a special treat.

We’d certainly need to eat breakfast at Breadcrafters on Tatum Blvd- I love to support local businesses. Their blueberry muffins and breakfast burritos are sooo delicious!

And of course we’d finish the evening with amazing food, and drinks at Vecina- their Latin-inspired menu is ahhhh-mazing. And if you can have Johnny as your server, you’re in for an extra special treat.

Perhaps a night hike up Piestewa Peak with headlamps and lots of water to stay hydrated.

Arizona is amazing with lots of opportunity to be active and eat yummy food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have had the great fortune of being mentored by some of the brightest, kindest, and most amazing humans out there. Stephen Fairley, who owned The Rainmaker Institute for decades before passing away in 2020, was one of the best friends, bosses, and mentors I’ve ever had. His wisdom and insight truly helped shape Bodify into what it is today. Not a day passes when I don’t see something take place in my business, that is 100% attributable to his influence and guidance. I love him and am forever grateful for what he taught me.
