We had the good fortune of connecting with John Worthy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi John, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I think as you get older you value time over anything else. You can always make up lost or wasted money, but not time.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
To excel in anything you have to love it, then it’s not work, it’s just long days. I was fortunate that I found what I loved to do, photography at an early age.
Then you just have to have single focus and live eat and breathe it, what ever your passion is.
I was told by many that I should not be a photographer, it was too hard to make a living.
Well, it is but you have to stay flexible and keep up with the latest technology and don’t give up.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve always loved books and reading about famous people, their thought process and work ethic was fascinating. As a kid i was an avid reader and visited the library a lot. The biographies of Edison, Jack London, Einstein and John Muir were inspiring to me.
But my main motivation, inspiration and everything comes from my 2 kids. they are always very supportive, but also keep me in line, most of the time
