We had the good fortune of connecting with Josh Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Josh, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happiest is when I deliver photos to my clients and see their reactions. Especially wedding photos. Knowing that my clients are over the moon with the images I produced from their most special days. Being married myself, I know the feeling of having awesome photos of me and my wife for the rest of our lives.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I work hard learning new techniques to produce the best images for my clients and try to put an artistic spin on all of my clients photos, when possible. When I do not have a paying client, I love capturing the natural art that Arizona provides me. Amazing Desertscapes, sunsets, storms and Stars that I print and sell. Learning a new skill is never easy, my 1st photos weren’t great, but I kept going. I kept practicing. I started following other photographers that were producing the quality of images that I wanted to produce. I kept trying to emulate them until I got better and better. A Lesson I have learned is that if you love doing something and you want to get better at it, that you have to WORK. You have to practice and push your limits.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Scenery – Saguaro National Park, Madera Canyon and Sonoita. Food – Saguaro Corners, Hops Sports Grill and A Sonoran Hot Dog Stand. Activities – Hike Sabino Canyon, Offroad some trails, Tucson Dragway and hit up the Rincon Farmers Market.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The local photography Community in Tucson is 2nd to none. The photographers (Some I now call friends) in the Tucson Aspiring & Professional Photographers Facebook group deserve a shoutout, They have helped push me to be better and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
