We had the good fortune of connecting with AC Rigz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi AC Rigz, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
You know to keep going when there is passion remaining. If the passion is gone, its time to find something else to be passionate about but you never give up.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My music is different because I don’t try to fit a stereo type or specific genre, I create music that entertains me and makes me happy. I am most excited for life and the opportunity to breathe and continue creating. To get to where I am today, I played a lot of shows, wrote a lot of songs and put in the work that others can only imagine. It was not easy, but nothing in life is easy. I overcame the challenges by deep breathing and meditation. I have learned to be honest and transparent always. Doing the right thing when no one is looking is a cornerstone of character. I would like the world to know that I am a man, I am an artist that has been shaped to become who I am today by trial and error.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had to take a friend out and about in the city, our first stop would be the Phoenix Art Museum to gain inspiration, eat a meal at Carly’s downtown and book a studio for a week long recording session. Hangouts to visit and grab a drink would be at Lost Leaf downtown, Kettle Black downtown, CASA Tempe and Shady Park Tempe for the live music. Other places to eat would be Green New American Vegetarian and the Vegan House downtown.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to my wife and children for always being my foundation and number one fans. My family has always been a main source of support and inspiration to continue on the path of making music that inspires others and keeps the arts alive.
