Hi Josh, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting AZ Arms Depot was to create more than just another place to buy firearms online. I wanted to build a professional, secure FFL transfer location paired with a modern online storefront—something that offered a one-on-one, guided buying experience in a legitimate office setting. The goal was to move away from the typical big-box or home-based model and instead provide customers with a trusted, professional environment where they feel confident, informed, and respected throughout the process.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the founder and owner of AZ Arms Depot, a veteran-owned firearms and accessories business based in Arizona. We operate a hybrid online and appointment-only office model focused on providing a safe, professional, and straightforward buying experience. My goal has always been to modernize the process while maintaining compliance, trust, and personal service.

Building the business wasn’t easy, especially navigating regulations, technology, and trust in an industry that often resists change. I’ve learned that transparency, consistency, and treating every customer like they’re in the room with you matters more than anything. What sets AZ Arms Depot apart is our focus on professionalism, education, and doing things the right way—every time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a close friend was visiting Arizona, I’d want to show them both sides of the Valley—the energy and the outdoors. We’d start with a hike at Camelback Mountain or South Mountain Park to take in the views and remind you why people fall in love with this place.

Downtown Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale are always on the list for great food, local shops, and live music, but I’m just as likely to take someone out toward the West Valley to show them a quieter, more laid-back side of Arizona that most visitors never see.

Whether it’s a casual local spot, a sunset drive through the desert, or a weekend trip up north to escape the heat, Arizona has a way of mixing adventure with simplicity—and that balance is what makes it home to me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to start by thanking my wife, Tory. She never let me back down, never doubted me, and supported me 100% throughout the process of starting AZ Arms Depot. She put up with long nights, stress, and plenty of bad attitudes along the way—but she never wavered. I truly wouldn’t be here without her. I love her more than anything, and she’s been right by my side every step of the way.
