We had the good fortune of connecting with K. Dineen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi K., what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think taking risks is inevitable, when you’re chasing your dreams. I don’t mind taking risks, I’d rather take risks than have any regrets. You just have to weigh your options and figure out if the possible outcome is worth the risk.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love making music that people feel a connection to. I want to be the one to make the music people fall in love to, or music someone listens to after they had a long day. Music is so important to me and has gotten me through so many good and bad times, I want to be able to provide that for people as well. I have come a long way since I first started music. My sound has become more confident. I am proud of my progression with music, being persistent with some thing you love goes a long way. It’s definitely not easy to face judgmental people everyday but as long as you know who you are, you’ll be okay. It’s sad to say but most of the support received doesn’t always come from family and friends, and that’s okay. I’ve realized just because they aren’t “supportive” doesn’t mean they aren’t watching. I want the world to know, no matter what I’m going to keep pursuing music. Don’t give up on your dreams.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Going to Sedona is a must, such a beautiful place to relax and clear your mind. I love a night out as well, downtown Phoenix is a cool place to go because there’s such a variety of places and people. Food is life obviously, too many good places to choose from. Mom an pop spots usually never disappoint. #supportlocalbusinesses lol
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
