Meet Kaden Gardner: (Mindwarp Art) Professional Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaden Gardner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaden, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I had been drawing and creating things for as long as I can remember, and have always enjoyed it. So I figured I’d try and make it a career. Also a lot of people would tell me growing up that becoming a “professional artist” was near impossible, or that I would become a starving artist. I wanted to prove them wrong.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For my art I like to work with pen & ink, and I usually do all of my coloring digitally. I’m typically drawing anything involving lines and abstract designs. As lame as it sounds, lines are some of my favorite things to draw. I find it quite satisfying/gratifying. I do also draw lots of fan art. Typically characters from my favorite shows and games etc. I try to push myself to draw at least 3 hours a day, that way I’m always getting something done and improving my abilities as an artist. I’ve learned that hard work pays off, stick to something you enjoy doing and people will notice.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t ever leave my house really so I don’t think I’m the right person to ask. I prefer to stay indoors and work.
