We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamryn Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kamryn, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor of Kamryns success is the parents and family who support and back her ambitions and sacrifice.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started dancing when I was 2 1/2. Most people think my mom just decided to put me in classes but that’s wrong I actually asked to dance. I saw a video on the computer and asked her to dance. I followed up because I was determined to dance. I decided I wanted to join company because a friend of mine was on company and I wanted my photo in the recital book. My family and I didn’t realize that I was actually not too bad. I wasn’t shy on stage but what came next was not what we expected. I started to do things that a normal 4-5 year old would do at my age. I believe I learned my aerial at 5 it was pretty crazy. From then on my mom and dad knew I was pretty serious about dancing and it was going to be a part of our lives.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When me and my bestie hang our we usually head to the mall. If anyone knows anything about me I love love love to shop. I might even have a problem. Lol . Some of my favorite stores are Aerie, Pacsun and Abercrombie. I’m still pretty tiny and I love those stores because they have cute stuff in my size. My favorite place to eat is Benihana’s my aunts have gotten me hooked it’s sooooo good.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family means everything. Without them I would have nothing. I know sometimes it’s really time consuming and expensive but they have given up a lot for me and I’m thankful
