Meet Kaydieta | Energy Healer & Piercing Apprentice

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaydieta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaydieta, how does your business help the community?
So many of us give our power away everyday without even realizing it. For instance, saying yes when you really want to say no, trusting someone else’s words or advice over your own knowing, holding grudges against people who have long moved on from us and the list can go on and on,
Sol Alchemy Collective was born from me realizing that within myself. I’d given up my power in so many ways–allowing my past to dictate where I was going, allowing others actions dictate my actions, doing things for others despite it impacting me. To understand the impact I aim to have, you have to understand the meaning behind the name.
Sol has multiple meanings. Sol means sun which is a life energy, positivity, confidence. The sun nourishes the Earth and is a symbol of the power within. Sol can mean the musical note G, which symbolizes the throat chakra or expression of oneself and it can mean soul which the spiritual component of your being–who you are at your core.
Alchemy means to transmute or change energy/to change the very nature of something. Sol Alchemy Collective was created to help others not only find their voice, their true selves, but also helps them to use their inner power to change their own lives.
Through my own gifts of energy healing like reiki, guided meditations and sound baths and also giving my sol-tribe a safe space to show up fully as themselves, I get the amazing opportunity to help promote deep relaxation in my clients so that their bodies have the necessary space and energy to welcome in balance and alignment. I act as a guide for each individual to help release their own known (& sometimes unknown) traumas; to step into their power and release the things that no longer serve them so they may show up as their true selves everyday.
As an energy healer, I not only get the opportunity to help others release tense emotions that can manifest into physical pains in our bodies, I also hold safe space for the collective to express themselves and provide the tools necessary to continue with their emotional, spiritual, and energetic healing.
I absolutely love what I do and that in itself is a gift and impacts the community I serve. It shows in the work that I do and the clients, turned friends who continue to trust me with their healing. I am forever grateful for each and every one of them. Sol Alchemy Collective helps the community by acting as a guide through each individual healing process and then giving you the tools to step into your power and take control of your own healing. My goal is to help the collective heal themselves so that we can all flourish together!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I had to choose the “other” category because my story is a little different. I started college not knowing what I wanted to do but knowing I had a deep love for helping others. Now I know that sounds cliché, but it is what I felt in my bones. After multiple changes to my college major, I chose occupational therapy. It aligned so much with my core values. OT is holistic based as well and I loved the idea. My last semester of grad school, I realized although I loved it, it would not be my forever career.
A year into my practice as an OT, I had a traumatic loss in my family and few months before that I had a huge loss of myself. This shifted my reality and mindset. I realized that I was having physical symptoms that were triggered by emotional responses. This set me on a new path. I started journaling, meditating and getting in solitude more. A few months alter I uprooted my life, moved to a completely different state (Texas) I’d never even visited. (Keep in mind I am from small town Alabama and had never lived in any other state). There I found my love for sound healing and reiki. I threw myself into learning everything I could, while still working my career as an OT.
Fast forward, I moved once more to Georgia, before moving to Arizona, where again I had no family and one friend from college. I made the decision to move December 2021 before finally admitting to myself that I was not fully satisfied in my career and I had only moved to GA to be in my comfort zone. By February ’22, i packed up my tiny car with my most important belongings and drove across country. Scariest thing I have ever done.
It was here that I met Deanna in May, started seeing more clients, and got the courage to quit my job as an OT. A week later I broke my toe yall (there’s that country slang coming out!) To understand the severity of this, I offer in home services. I have to carry large amounts of equipment into homes. I had left the stability of my job, did not have insurance and I had just broken my pinky toe (very necessary for balance) which meant I could not even run my own business. I honestly spiraled after that because every part of my stability had been lost. My savings was tapped, my stability gone, and my new business i loved had to be on hold. I was heart broken. I did not walk again for 4 months nor did I work again for 6 months. About a month into my injury, I realized that I work so much with healing others but I was not working with myself–where was the disconnect? don’t get me wrong, I typically did maintenance on myself prior to the injury but after the injury I took a hit mentally/emotionally and forgot about my own power for a second.
So I began doing energy healing specifically for myself. Through this I remembered my own power ironically enough. I realized that while my injury was not fun experience and my feelings we valid, I had been allowing it to dictate my entire life. A few months later I was walking again but my savings was tapped and I had no steady income, even though I was growing my client base back.
In between that, I started my dream of becoming a piercer as well and I currently work a part time job as an OT to provide the stability that I need. I have said all that to say, do the thing that scares you! ALWAYS! You will never regret it. All of these things have been scary and some did not go initially as planned but none of them are failures. I have learned so much about myself and what I want in my business. I have gained new opportunities and experiences that I did not even know I needed. And sure I may have tripped a few times, but I never fell.
I am beyond excited about the growth my business is experiencing and some of that growth would not have happened if I did not have those challenges. I am excited for the clients that I have not even met yet. Even my energy healing sessions have improved drastically from this experience. My confidence has increased and how I show up in a room has changed tremendously. I am proud that I have been able to not only step into my truth, but show up for myself unapologetically and continuing to stick through this despite how crazy it might look to the outside world. My goal here today was to be fully transparent to hopefully inspire others. I am beyond thrilled to even be featured in ShoutOut AZ. And my story does not stop here! You will see my on stages, on podcasts, retreats, and hosting large events- So please get used to seeing this face and name. While this has not been easy, it has been the best experience. If you take nothing away from this story, please remember to bet on yourself, every time! You only fail when you don’t even try. Step into that power!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Okay, this one is tricky. I am still fairly new to the city so I do not have all the cool spots. So I would make a game of it honestly. I am very spontaneous; I am known for getting in my car and taking a random road trip because I am bored. I would honestly look for random events in the city and go wherever we are led. That could be pottery classes, roller skating, walking at the park, getting tattoos, rooftop vibes, we may even get dressed up in our nicest heels and go to a museum for the fun of it. It all just depends on how we are feeling that day. But food will definitely, always be part of whatever we do!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh my goodness where do I even begin. My group of friends have been the most amazing support system ever. They have helped me through my own self doubts, finding clients, helping design websites, everything. Some of these friends aren’t even people I have known for a long time–like Deanna owner of the Cocoon gym. She has pushed me in so many ways it is unimaginable. She was one of my first clients once I moved to Arizona; after our first session and first time meeting, her energy pushed me to take the leap of faith and fully launch my business. She’s allowed me space to host events at her beautiful gym and referred me to her clients for healing services. I absolutely adore and appreciate her.
Currently my mentor of AE of AEink Studios is guiding me not only in my piercing apprenticeship, but in business as well. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I am a woman with many hats. Energy healing and piercings are what I truly love. I am very lucky to be doing the things I love. AE has opened my eyes to so many perspective changes in my business though. So I am beyond grateful for her.
We would be here all day if I gave you the rundown of every one who’s helped me. But I will say, a tool you can utilize yourself that has most definitely helped me is Dr. Joe Dispenza’s book “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself”
