Meet Kenyon France | Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenyon France and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenyon, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
The arts, the creativity, ive have always been very passionate about. Music in specific has been that outlet for me that no matter what I’m going through, I can put my emotions, good or bad, and create something beautiful from it that others will be able to enjoy.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been a singer/songwriter for a few years now. What started as a hobby of playing guitar has now turned into a love that I could not live without. All my music that I write comes from personal experiences which is very therapeutic, and not only does it help me, but I write to give off a message that will help others as well. When I was in 8th grade I took guitar lessons and soon after vocal lessons. After many years of trials, setbacks, and growth, I was signed to recording company in which I was able to release a new song and music video. “Don’t waste the pain” is the biggest phrase i live my life by, and is something I hope people will take with them after listening to my music.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My friends and I are pretty adventurous, so we would have a lot to do. Since there is a variety of live music venues out here, we would definitely see a show. The genre could honestly be any kind, we just love live music. Another thing we would do is do some thrift/vintage shopping around the city. To end the day we would either go see a movie at one of the nice theaters they have out here, or visit top golf and spend a few hours there. There is so many different kinds of food here, but my favorite that I’ve tried so far is Oreganos. Their pizza is by far the best I’ve had. I think another one of our favorites is Johnny Rockets which has that older feel to it. Local diners are cool as well if we wanted to try somewhere new.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom deserves the shoutout. She continues to put my needs before hers and has always supported my dreams.
