We had the good fortune of connecting with Tahj Coney and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tahj, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was very difficult at first. At times, I always had an idea of what I wanted to do for a living but never actually put forth an effort to go deeper than just an idea to manifest it. It wasn’t that I was being lazy but simply because I was just afraid of the unknown and of moving into a place where I would have more responsibilities than I had already had. My Pastor once said, “Work without vision is a nightmare. Vision without work is daydreaming.” It was not until this year where God really had to work on me. I really had to get out of my “thought process” and focus on what the Bible says about having confidence in myself and have an understanding of how to start a business, and have a successful one. Everything that the Bible says, is true, no matter what I may think, or feel so once I knew, understand, and walked in what the Bible says, I was able to launch my business, on November 26th, 2020 called Vznry Productions. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My new business, Vznry Productions, services businesses, entrepreneurs, and the norms by bringing their vision to life with excellence and clarity. We specialize in photography, videography, and graphic design. I believe what sets us apart from other production companies the most is that we not only focus on the major details but also the minor. We proud ourselves in working in excellence; doing the best we can with what we have. The plus of it is that our best is only going to continue to get better as we grow.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There is no really specific area I would take them. I would say to just explore cities like Scottsdale, where there is so much to do and see. Explore the nature of Scottsdale and see where that leads them. I would just have to make sure they are done by Sunday to visit the best church, Stonepoint Community Church, where life is made better.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my Pastor, who is also my spiritual father and business mentor. His leadership and dedication to helping others advance in life should not go unnoticed. The clarity and understanding that he has helped me receive, especially this past year, has helped me grow so much to be a better business owner. From seeing myself as a young man with a hobby to a king with a vision.
