We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenzie Ogden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenzie, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
I chose to pursue my passion and stray from the traditional route. I attended college because my parents told me to do so. Their plan was for me to go to school, get a degree, and start a career. I struggled to find what I wanted to major in because all I could think about was getting an Esthetics license. It was on my mind 24/7, but I battled with the idea of pursuing it because it meant leaving the security of a college degree. I finally just decided, if not now, when? I am a big believer in following your dreams and listening to your own intuition. I am incredibly grateful that I chose to leave college for beauty school. I love the field of Esthetics and am incredibly passionate about helping people feel confident in their own skin. I look forward to going to work and thank God every single day that I took the risk when I did. I truly could not be more proud of my career, my business, and the community I have created.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After Glow Experience is a private skincare studio located in Tucson that specializes in result driven treatments, clinical skincare, and a premium luxury and personal experience. Each and every treatment is tailored specifically to my client’s skincare needs based off their goals. I pride myself in the fact that I have been able to achieve amazing results with my clients through a holistic approach to skin health. I am a certified Face Reality Acne expert, which means I can clear acne in as soon as 90 days! I strive to offer a safe place for anyone who wants to achieve healthier skin without judgement. I am proud to say that After Glow Experience is a place where my clients feel heard, respected, and cared for. I love the relationships I have built with them and feel so grateful to be the one who has helped them feel more confident!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Tucson is such an interesting city and there is so much to do! I would definitely make sure to take them to Portal Cocktails for an espresso martini, Locale for amazing Italian food, Noble Hops for nachos, the Mercado to shop, Sabino Canyon to hike, Reddington Pass for off-roading, and St Phillips Plaza for bottomless brunch and shopping at the farmers market!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am truly blessed to have so many incredible people in my life who have supported and encouraged me through every part of my journey and throughout the entire process of opening my own skincare studio. My mom for never doubting me through any step in my career, my fiancé for always being supportive and understanding, and my cousin for helping me with the process of setting up my skincare studio. I also am blessed with incredible friends who have cheered me on the entire way. Most importantly, thank you to my wonderful clients who have made my dream a reality by referring their own friends and family, and trusting me with their skin!
