We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristin Pedderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristin, what matters most to you?
What I have learned through trial and error is the value of incremental progress as a key to success. I have found that lasting growth and meaningful achievements are built one step at a time.
When I first set out to reach my dreams, I thought that producing something wonderful would open the door to instant gratification and success. However, after continual effort and plenty of time, I have come to know the value of incremental progress for lasting results. By focusing on consistent, daily efforts, the journey is just as exciting as the destination. This approach requires me to live in the moment and to celebrate the smaller victories, which build momentum and lead to greater outcomes and accomplishments over time. I have learned to welcome and embrace the process, knowing that each step forward, is part of a larger, and more purposeful path.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a reflection of my personal journey, emotions, and beliefs. Whether it’s through music, writing or visual creations, my work is deeply rooted in themes of love, personal growth, resilience, and faith. What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and vulnerability in everything I produce. I aim to inspire hope, healing, and connection through stories and melodies that resonate on a deeper level. I’m most proud of my entire body of work. Both Music and Books. A few recent book favorites include, “365 Daily Inspirations ~ Ideas For Higher Living” and “The Adventures Of Fin Man” along with “Clarity Over Conflict”. And for music collections, I would have to mention, “Circle Of Light”, “One World Rendezvous I&II “, “Lovestruck”, “A Woman In Love”, “Free” and “The Dreamer”. Each album in my humble opinion, is worthy of repetition.
Arriving to where I am today, was anything but easy. The journey involved numerous challenges—whether it was navigating the music industry, overcoming self-doubt, or balancing creative work with the business side of things, while working to keep a roof over head, embracing the importance of incremental progress, step by step, I moved forward by staying faithful to the vision. Even when the path seemed unclear I felt the importance of creating. Also, I did my best to surround myself with supportive people. I chose to keep my eye on the prize and focus on long-term growth, which helped overcome tough times.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned on the way, is that success is not just about talent or even luck—it’s about perseverance and staying true to your values, no matter what. I’ve also learned the importance of trusting the process and celebrating the achievements that build toward greater success.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that everything I create comes from a place of deep purpose. I believe in uplifting others and pointing people toward hope, while encouraging them to discover purpose to pursue their own dreams with passion and perseverance. My work is a reflection of my vision and belief. And that faith with effort, opens the doors to possibilites where anything can be achieved.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, I would hope they would come at a time when the Greek or Italian festival was going on. The culture and authentic foods as well as the music, dancing and entertainment are always a good time. There is just so much to do and fun to experience in the Phoenix Valley and the Scottsdale area too! I would spend time showing friends around Old Town Scottsdale with the wonderful stores and many great restaurants to enjoy. Then I would perhaps take an afternoon and visit the Musical Instrument Museum.
Next, I would lead them on a drive and journey around the valley and toward the mountains. The desert is so very beautiful. Sedona is on my go-to list when friends come to visit from out of town. Jerome, (The Spirit Room) and Old Town Cottonwood are also awesome. The drive surely makes for a fun day trip.
And of course a friendly visit would be incomplete without a day spent in Cave Creek, where I would visit Harolds Corral for a meal and live music. Local Johnny’s is great for a Wednesday night Open Mic, or the Buffalo Chip Saloon is a must for a bull riding demonstration and perhaps some line dancing with live music as well. If it were a Sunday morning, we might show up to Church at the Chip. This outdoor church service is a must experience for the Cowboy feel and a feeding of the faith. And the first Sunday of the month, they provide a free breakfast after the church service!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Primarily, I have my family and friends to thank for encouraging me to keep going, in the midst of difficulty. Sometimes, all one needs is someone kind in their corner. Someone with a positive word. So to all who have encouraged me, this goes out to you. I would also like to thank the many musicians who have assisted in my learning and production skills. I must mention Thomas Landry, because he has been instrumental in many projects over the course of time, often playing multiple instruments.
