We had the good fortune of connecting with Lee Plummer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lee, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I didn’t, well at first I mean. I’ve always been artisitc from a young age when my Grandpa taught me the joy of art, but you see in the early 2000’s when I entered the work force I knew, or better yet I was told from a society standard that being creative or artistic was only for the best of the best, so I became a realist and got a job. I mean what else was I supposed to do, I had bills to pay and the reality was just that, go to work, build a resume, get a career and work til I retire.

Yeah well let’s just say that didn’t last forever, did I achieve some things? Did I work my way up the ladder? Yes, yes I did, I served in the military, deployed to Afghanistan, had a Class A CDL, poured Airplane parts for many years, among so much more, but it didn’t make me happy, it just kept me content.

Until I went to college in my 30’s and tapped back into my creative side, I started writing, doing art, and so much more, which led to me becoming a published author, Social Media Influence, Photographer and a all around creative soul. The authenticity that is me and who I am became my reality throughout everything I’ve done, endured and defied. So the realization became a reality that was attainable, even if I wasn’t the best, which is a beautiful thing, especially in this day and age where being our own boss and being in control of our lives is more possible then it ever has been before. And that fuels the belief behind our creativity, it shows us it’s possible, and that why I go after it all, and in all honesty to defy who we are is to defy the creativity that is our existence and life in itself. So I’ll leave you with this as a Writer,

“Dreams are the impossibilities others cannot fathom.” Lee Plummer

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I got here by believing in myself, by being practical and realistic, but here’s the truth to it all, I’m still reaching and I don’t believe that success is a destination but rather a act of commitment and resilience to keep success thriving, even on its worse days.

Is it easy? No, it drains you of hope somedays, it makes you feel like a failure somedays, but the worth isn’t in the process, it’s in the freedom of being authentically you in control of your life.

I overcame it all with perseverance and dedication to the belief in my dreams, by adapting to growth and change, because what may have started as an idea became a concept and so on, until it reaches its potential to a level that can equate to success.

But this whole process is a learning experience and without the courage to go after it, you can’t learn it let alone grow from it, the knowledge is endless honeslty, which is a great thing.

Lastly I want you to know that my brand and story is mine, just as yours belongs to you, but at the core of my brand, it comes from my life experience, my perspective, outlook and knowledge obtained in my life. It is me, it is the, or better yet what I have turned my life into, just as you will to yours.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I’d say welcome to Montana, and we’ll I’d sure hope they like the outdoors. But honeslty, I would take them to Galcier National Park a place of endless adventures, we’d go fishing, and hiking among the countless mountains in my area, the rivers and lakes. As for food we could hit up the local towns for some amazing food and drinks, let alone simple entertainment, being as we aren’t the big city life, but rather the simple life. As for people there’s nothing like the towns people of a small town, where we appreciate one another, say Hi to your neighbor and lend a hand when a stranger is in need. But this is Montana and week will only show you that you must come back for more.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This goes out to my Grandpa, may he rest in peace. But that man taught me the love of being creative, to smile, and how to live, truly live. As his own life and experiences led him to leaving his art behind and never persuing it, yet he distilled it in me by tapping into my creative being, and for that I am forever thankful. We are all inspired by someone, something, but the meaning is the key, the why, and he showed me that, maybe even you through my words.
