We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Faust and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michelle, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
How powerful your personal story is. What we experience in life is what shapes us, forms our values, creates our passions, and give us our purpose. If we carry around our story with negative feelings then who we become continues to carry that negativity into our character. The first step into empowerment and success is embracing our story, not hiding behind it. We live in a world now that appreciates transparency and vulnerability. Writing your story, making peace with it, understanding the strengths you gained from it, and sharing it to the world is incredibly healing, Success in relationships and business will naturally follow. Learn how to weave who you are, because of your story, into everything you do. You will naturally draw people in who resonate with you and will want to connect in a healthy supporting way, including doing business with you. Get as much exposure as you can through podcasts, radio interviews. print media, press releases, virtual presentations, the list goes on. Wherever you can, Share your wonderful self to the world and you will start to see yourself grow boldly and with self confidence as your best self rises to the top.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
After 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry I elected to leap into the entrepreneurial world and follow my heart, which is writing. This first took me to composing an anthology called The Lemonade Stand. The inception of The Lemonade Stand started with my own self-realization that I had a story of learning how to acquire a fearless attitude due to having a severe hearing loss which had impacted my own self-worth and created limiting beliefs. My story is full of vulnerability, courage, and learning how to cope in a world which values perfection by developing my alternative strengths. The Lemonade Stand is my passion project that not only provides a powerful resource for women struggling with their own lemonade challenges but is also emerging into a community of like-minded women who want to share, support, and lift up their sisters. This experience and the excitement and support around the concept of sharing stories led me down a path of wanting to create multiple platforms for women to share and be heard. It ultimately launched me to creating Lemonade legend, a company offering both print and media exposure through my anthology series, digital magazine, a publishing house, podcast and virtual stages and two upcoming TV shows. My ideal client is women (and a few brave men) who have lemonade stories to share and need a platform that shines the spotlight on them. My mission is to create the largest storytelling distribution network in the world, to give people a voice, share their stories, and elevate them above the conventional noise. What sets me apart is that I can start at the beginning and help connect people with their stories, shape them, walk them through the difficult parts and transform them into radiant butterflies. I take clients all the way through to a high level of exposure on many platforms and in front of many audiences, both my own and my affiliate partners. There is power in storytelling, and my platforms celebrate the voice of entrepreneurs and small business owners who have tackled lemons and created amazing versions of lemonade opportunities. My network features individuals who have a powerful vision that is stronger than their fears. I provide extensive media exposure to brand their strength and courage.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, I have 2 homes that I split my time between, Scottsdale, Arizona and the Pacific coast of Panama. Since I am most likely to have a guest visit in Arizona, I’ll give a birds eye view of a week long trip there. First of all I spend the beautiful weather months in Arizona, November thru April. I love my state and I am proud to show it off. Because Arizona is so diverse, I like to take people to different parts of the state. Sedona is stunning red rock country with hiking trails, creeks that form natural slide rock formations, and is considered to be one of the few areas in the world with the mystery of the Vortex. Then of course, we are home to the magnificent Grand Canyon. A visit here will blow your mind to think about the powerful forces of the earth over centuries of time. Flagstaff is my favorite city in the pine forests. It’s still a bit redneck, so I love to enjoy the country music, cowboy cooking and good old fashion fun. It’s also home to the ski resort Snowbowl on Mt Humphry, which is a beautiful but challenging hike up to about 11,000 feet with a breathtaking view. That’s only the tip of the iceberg but we only have a week! So let’s wrap it up in Scottsdale with world class shopping, dining, sports venues, and entertainment.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that support and encourage me. My Shoutout goes to the woman who took me and my fledgling business and gave me direction, vision, and a blueprint. Angel Tuccy, Media Exposure Specialist is my mentor, my muse, my friend, my coach and biggest cheerleader. Angel is largely responsible for my rapid growth in a mere 6 months. Not only through her coaching abilities, but the power of association within her inner circle has been far more effective at creating connections than the 4 years of networking prior to working with her. I am, incredibly grateful that she considers me worthy of inclusion in her world.
