Meet Monica Milewski | Therapeutic Astrologer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Milewski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monica, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In recent years, Astrology has grown again in popularity, however most of what I’ve seen in the social sphere is a misuse of Astrology. Instead of empowering people to discover their true energetic alignment and gaining more compassion for the depths of our personal expression, I’ve seen it generally used as a divisive and manipulative tool, which saddens me greatly. Having received a Masters of Social Work and Masters of Child Development, I not only entered the field of Astrology with a deep foundational awareness of the human psyche, but also a framework of client ethics and how to not abuse those searching for healing and answers to life’s biggest questions.
When I was going through a difficult time in my life, dealing with chronic illness and mental health struggles, I moved to Arizona for a fresh start. It was here that I had my birth chart first read, and in that session, I found the deepest sense of self-affirmation, renewed vigor and optimism for my journey, as well as confidence in my strengths and talents for being an empath who can deeply understand herself and others.
NOONLIT SAGE was born from my desire to share the power of self-awareness and self-empowerment, helping everyone whom I work with through astrology readings, new moon circles and more, to discover their inner energetic alignment and how they can increase the joy in their lives. Many who seek a birth chart reading ask to receive clarity about their life’s purpose, relationship alignment, and how to navigate the issues they may be currently facing in life. Arizona is known for its spiritual healing community, and I am grateful I took the steps to create a business in which I can share my therapeutic knowledge and compassion with those who seek higher fulfillment in life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Unlike most Astrologers who are starting out, my Astrology business is based in extensive education of our collective Human Psychology. In my work with clients, I use a compassionate humanistic approach to Astrology and healing. I believe everyone has the capacity to make the choice for themselves how their healing journey will go. Astrology offers a lens, in which a person can discover their true potential and a strong sense of self, which integrates both dark and light sides of ourselves without judgment. Using someone’s birth chart, I am able to show a person the unique behavioral, mental and emotional tools they personally can use in difficult situations, and the strengths they have to shine to the best of their abilities. It is because of my holistic approach, that clients leave my sessions happily surprised at how impactful Astrology truly can be.
I love that using Astrology can be approached in a variety of ways. When working with me, clients can book a mini-chart reading to receive quick answers, or they can book a full natal chart reading (a map of the sky at the time of birth depicting various Zodiac placements) to learn about themselves in more depth. In recent years, I have had the pleasure to be invited to corporate wellness initiatives and events, reading people’s natal charts in large group settings as well. I am truly excited to see that Astrology is being recognized by the masses for its positive potential to inspire people to live their best lives!
It’s not always easy though to grow a business. At the start, I relied fully on “word of mouth” referrals to spread awareness of my Astrological talents. I sought out the spotlight in various community events as a vendor doing readings, and ultimately realized I also had a passion for sharing Astrology insights and healing in a group setting. I created a New Moon Circle in Scottsdale, where every month I’d host a healing circle with news of Astrology transits, deeper Astrological awareness and sound healing to leave everyone feeling fully restored. I realized marketing myself would need to be key if I had the desire to align with my vision for being able to reach more of those who were looking for my services. I’d say my website and online presence has been instrumental in connecting me with those who have wanted to work with an Astrologer.
Those who do work with me as an Astrologer will quickly find that more than anything, I am extremely passionate about Astrology, self-awareness and inspiring others to take action to create the reality they most desire. I’ve never been ok settling in life, and unable to remain stagnant, I constantly seek newer evolutions in myself, and appreciate how challenges help us all reach new depths of inner strength and outer expansion. My cheerful attitude, and commitment to transformation, allows me to help my clients connect the dots themselves so they can achieve the breakthroughs they were looking for.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is so much to explore around the valley! When I first visited Phoenix, the #1 to do on my itinerary was to visit all of the amazing crystal shops around town. Some of my favorites includes: Everything Just Rocks, Fantasia Crystals, The Crystal Loft and Spiritually Bold. Each of these crystal shops have their own unique selection so I truly recommend taking a visit to all of them.
Next on the list is going for a hike to enjoy the most of the desert landscape and scenery. I always take anyone who visits me to Papago Park, which has some of the most scenic views you can get in the desert. Some of my other favorite hikes include Piestawa Peak, the Granite Mountain Trailhead, along with the trails in Lost Dutchman State Park and Superstition Mountains. If you’re looking for a more curated scene, I absolutely love visiting the Desert Botanical Gardens and seeing the stunning variety of desert landscape.
Downtown Phoenix is host to a lot of cultural spotlight, with the Phoenix Art Museum being a fun visit especially during First Fridays. My favorite Coffee Shop in Downtown Phoenix is located in aFlourShop and Dark Hall Coffee. The atmosphere inside is quite different in each, one being super light and open and the other perfect for a moodier cozy feel.
When it comes to food, I’ve always had a more restricted diet, and the Giving Tree Cafe has always had a wonderful array of options. I love that they are passionate about creating food with ingredients that if not made in-house, are sourced to be of the highest quality. My favorite dish is the Krunch Rap!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to take a moment to thank my mentor and coach, Cori Roberts. The saying “healers need healers” is deeply true. When helping others rise and shine to their best energetic alignment, it is important that I also model what I preach and seek support when I am not feeling my best. Throughout the years and the ups and downs, Cori Roberts, who is a Depression/Anxiety Coach in Arizona, has helped me navigate insecurities, relationships and childhood trauma healing, so that I may show up in my best energy for my clients as well. She has been kind, insightful, inspiring in her own healing journey as well, and I could not be where I am today without her support and encouragement.
