We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Robbins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monica, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand has to be authenticity. Starting a career in real estate has really pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone. Having to be in front of the camera has been challenging for me in many ways. I am not a boastful person by nature. Whether you meet me in person or view my post, you will find I am always the same person. The content I post is intentional and best represents who I am. I hope that the level of service I provide is valuable to all my clients. I always want to help in any way that I can. Sometimes, I give too much, but if it helps build up another person, I am ok with that. I always want to build authentic relationships with whoever comes into my life. I contribute much of my success to my family and friends who have been so supportive of my transition into real estate. I am forever grateful to all of them.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My transition into real estate came from a much needed change. I had been working in the food service industry for almost 17 years, when I was placed on furlough by my employer at the time. I chose to use that time off to complete my real estate course and pursue a new venture. I was fortunate that I had friends and former co-workers that referred me to my first few clients. My transition into into real estate was pretty seamless. There is a lot to learn and I feel that it will take a while to grasp some of the minute details. The biggest lesson I have learned so far is patience. I have always struggled with patience this business is all about building that rapport and trust with your clients.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, our itinerary would be as follows: Day 1: Travel to Sedona for hiking
Day 2 and 3 Travel to Page to visit Horseshoe Bend and Upper & Lower Antelope Canyon
Day 4 Travel to Flagstaff, tour NAU and go skiing
Day 5 an 6: Travel to Willcox and spend time at the Wineries and go to the U-pick in town
Day 7: Travel to Phoenix and go to the Botanical Garden
I would use Yelp and Google to find great restaurants in all of the cities that we travel too. I love to eat at hole in the wall places!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a Shoutout to my daughter Jasmine! I work hard to provide for her and hope I set an example of following your dreams no matter what obstacles lie ahead. My goal is to build generational wealth for her.
