We had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Clare and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ms. Clare, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Music is an international language that connects people beyond age, nationality, and cultural background. Through music education and performance, my business brings joy, confidence, and meaningful connection to students, their families, and the local community. I believe music creates a positive space where people can communicate emotionally, support one another, and share happiness together.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One thing that sets me apart is that I never stop learning. I believe music education should grow through learning from different people, different cultures, and different musical styles. In many ways, my students are not only my students, but also some of my greatest teachers.
When you truly give your attention, patience, and care to students, you naturally begin to understand their musical interests and emotional needs. Because of this, I continue studying the music styles my students love, so I can expand and update my own professional skills as an educator and musician.
I also enjoy arranging and adapting music based on each student’s current violin or viola playing ability, creating personalized learning materials that are unique to them. My goal is to help students keep their original love for music alive while building strong string performance skills with confidence and joy.
The journey professionally was not always easy, but I learned that staying open-minded, continuing to learn, and genuinely caring about people can overcome many challenges. I want the world to know that my brand is built not only on music education, but also on connection, creativity, and helping students feel seen, inspired, and loved through music.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Most of my teaching takes place in my home studio, MS Clare Violin Studio, which creates a very intimate and focused learning environment. It is not a traditional institution, but a space where students come into a real-life musical setting, and where learning feels personal, flexible, and human. I would naturally share this part of my daily life, showing how music is taught and lived in a home-based studio where every student’s journey is individually shaped.
During the week, we would also explore Chandler’s local community—quiet coffee shops, neighborhood spaces, and welcoming family-oriented places where I often connect with students and parents. I would also take my friend into the wider Arizona landscape, especially the desert scenery and sunsets around Phoenix, which reflect the calmness and space that inspire both my teaching and artistic thinking.
Music would still be at the center of the experience. I would introduce them to how I work with students in MS Clare Violin Studio—adapting repertoire, arranging music based on each student’s ability, and helping them connect emotionally with what they play. If possible, they would also experience a lesson moment or informal practice session, so they can see how music becomes a shared language between teacher and student.
We would also enjoy good food and simple everyday moments, because I believe music education is not separate from life—it grows from it.
Overall, the week would reflect the MS Clare philosophy: a home-based studio where music is personal, learning is tailored, and every experience—whether in a lesson, a conversation, or an Arizona sunset—becomes part of a living musical journey.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would dedicate my shoutout to all of my students and their families. We met because of a genuine love for music, and I truly treasure the time we share together through learning and performing. Watching my students grow, gain confidence, and express themselves through music brings so much meaning and light into my life. Their passion, trust, and support continue to inspire me every day.
