We had the good fortune of connecting with Noah Frimer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noah, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I define success as being happy. The greatest thing you can feel in life is happiness, knowing that you have achieved everything you want to achieve, you have everything you could ever want, you feel like your life has purpose, and that you achieved that purpose. For everyone this is different, some people want a family, a good six figure job, a nice house, etc. There is no right or wrong answer, it is different for everyone and all that matters is what you think. For me personally, I want to leave an impact. I want to make people happy, to create something positive that will leave an impact on the people who see it. For me, my way of doing this is through movies. One thing I have always said when people ask me why I want to be an actor, I say that going to the movies is a kind of escape. A chance where for two or so hours of your life, you get to go relax, have fun, and forget about everything going on in your life, in the world. You do not have to worry or stress, you can get lost in the story, in the film, and just have fun. It may not be much, it is only two hours but there have been multiple times in my life where I have walked out of a movie with new ideas, new things I wanted to try, new purposes. Movies are inspiring, they show us that anything is possible. That’s why I want to be an actor, I want to inspire people and make them happy.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So with the risk of becoming an actor, the low level of success, I knew that I had to have other options, other pursuits. Back up plans you could say. But also not just as back ups, but as a way to help move me along in my pursuit to become an actor. That is why at 18 years old, I have to started my own business, I am a licensed realtor, a full time college student and still work part time. All of this is to help push me along with my acting pursuit, to keep me afloat. As someone who wants to become an actor, you can expect that I dream to move out to California. Hollywood, the epicenter of filmmaking. Also one of the most expensive places to live. And while acting is my dream, with the success level so risky, and also having no way of knowing, when/ if success will ever come. I knew I needed something else, a way to be able to afford to live a life and pursue my dreams. That is why I have started my own business, became a licensed realtor, work part time and am still getting a college degree. I want to make sure that no matter what happens, I can afford to keep myself, my family, and everyone else in my life safe and happy. My business has only been open officially for a month now but in our first month we had very decent success and we hope to keep growing it more and more. I will be graduating college after only 3 years, a year earlier then normal. I also graduated high school early. It is not easy balancing all these different things at once but I know it is what I must do in order to achieve my dreams. I am happy and that is what matters.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents. Without my parents, I would not have the courage to go through with anything. Becoming an actor is not easy, the chances of success are low, and there are a lot of heavy risks that go along with it. So telling my parents was scary, I dont want them to worry that I will not succeed and be “throwing my life away”. I was terrified. What if they said it was an awful idea and did not support it? But it is what I truly want, what will truly make me happy in life so I did, I told them. At first they were not sure what to think. We had a long talk about all the different risks and everything that would go along with it. But after talking and seeing how enthusiastic I was about it, they understood. And since then they have been my biggest supporters, my biggest fans. They watch all my films, give me honest feedback, share it with everyone they know, and so much more. They push me to become the best person, best actor I can be. I may not be considered a “successful” actor yet, but I am happy and with their support, I know that I will keep pursuing my dream no matter what.
