We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela Jayne Sassi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pamela Jayne, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I came about starting my own brand with the goal of being successful in order to give back to the community on a larger scale. I firmly believe if you want the success for the right reasons, it will come to you.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Like a lot of other stories out there, I spent quite a few years out of high school not knowing what direction to go in. I spent a couple years in college working towards a wildlife conservation career, while interning and volunteering with zoos, sanctuaries, and foundations. Learning the difference between a hobby and a career, I began to pursue the business/sales industry. Fast forward to now, I have been in the luxury automotive industry for 8 years as a leading sales professional. Being part of male dominated industries has lit a fire and taught me confidence. Now owning my own company, I have the ability to support my fellow women from all walks of life and it is truly an indescribable feeling. And the story is far from over!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being in the beautiful desert landscape, you CANNOT have someone visit and not take them hiking. Echo Canyon at Camelback mountain, challenging, but so worth it! A very special place to me is Arizona’s little wine country in Verde Valley. About an hour and a half north of the city, you have amazing wineries such as Alcantara and DA Ranch. A couple degrees cooler and a change of scenery. For dining in the city, we have so many amazing options. Toro restaurant at the Princess resort has amazing food and scenery. For great seafood head to Buck and Rider. And for a night out, Sumo Maya has one of the best vibes in the city! Basically, my people visiting are never disappointed!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My brand name and my middle name is Jayne. Jayne was my grandmother on my mother’s side. She was a lieutenant nurse in the Navy during WWII and also raised a family of 8 children. All of the women in my family are a huge inspiration and encourage me to be better and stronger everyday. Through the ups and downs, we were raised to never give up. Women truly can do it all.
