We had the good fortune of connecting with Paris Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paris, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Cosplaying allows me to open up and be my true self – free from judgment and social norms of regular clothing. I love the freedom of cosplay – I can be whomever I decide to be and getting the details perfect is essential. I take pride in cosplay because it’s a lot of work, planning and coordinating dates, needing a wardrobe, find a location for the official shoot. The final results are always so satisfying, seeing the photos at the end makes it all worth it! I also wanna show people that anyone can cosplay because its so much fun to do!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m super proud of my modeling career. It was not easy overcoming the challenges but that’s okay because I learned I lot of hard lessons on the way. The biggest hurdle for me was managing my time for this career – I also work full-time, go to school full-time and have a side business so time management is important. I started officially modeling back in February of 2021, and since then I’ve got published 40 times in different publications, 5 were front covers. I am so humbled and blessed to reach a goal like this and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I want people to know that You can do whatever you choose as long you put in hard work and effort. I dropped a lot of old hobbies for modeling and did it twice a week, practiced in the mirror, read magazines. Studied modeling all the time and I feel like that helped me grow into my career!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite spots in the city is Forest Park, most of the events and entertainment is FREE which is great for tourism in the city. The St. Louis Art Museum is another favorite destination of mine and its also inside forest park – explore vast art collections or the zoo if you prefer looking at animals !
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom has honestly been the foundation of my support system throughout my journey. She always pushed me when I wasn’t sure of myself. She always told me to keep fighting and that dreams don’t work unless you work harder! I am so grateful for my mother, friends, and models in my circle they have all been so supportive during my modeling career. Lucy Tobey, has been one of my biggest supporters during my journey. I’m so thankful to be friends with her! Simona Berger – a fantastic photographer is also a dear friend of mine! Not only do we have a blast shooting together but she also inspires me as fine art artist. It feels good to have them in my life!
