We had the good fortune of connecting with Peter Deeley Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peter, how does your business help the community?
We are addressing the health and wellness needs of our community in a holistic manner. We attend to physical health by connecting people to local farmers and through our online programs. At The3MinuteUplift.com we have courses that focus on diet and exercise. We attend to mental and spiritual health through our online meditation programs (also at The3MinuteUplift.com). And lastly, we foster relationships between loved ones through our handmade charms available at awellrunlifegear.com

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We created our first handmade charm 3 years ago: Grace. We made it as a fundraiser for our farm-to-table project Grace Farms. Since then, many people have written asking us to make more and more charms. We now have hope, peace, and love among the many choices. We send these little works of art with careful notes reminding people of how special they are. The responses have often been overwhelming in how important these have been to people. Each one is crafted with bronze circles about the size of a quarter. They words are imprinted by hand using a hammer and steel stamp, Each letter is placed uniquely with every charm – and so everyone is a little different. Being made in such an intentional manner includes imperfection – the moment these are made is a special space in time – and no two are exactly alike.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Sadly, we lost the lease to our farm – Grace Farms – in the pandemic. Our farm-to-table events were enthusiastically support locally. People travelled from out of town to join us – and sometimes to engage us in the creation of a special event just for them. Our handmade charm project and online courses will hopefully generate enough revenue for us to buy the next property in which Grace Farms will be located.
