We had the good fortune of connecting with Phuong Kubacki and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Phuong, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is TENACITY. Consistent hard work has been the key for me. It’s not about being the most talented or having the most connections. Just that everyday Im putting effort into my goals and moving that needle along. Achieving those small goals to help accomplish the big ones. Dreaming big is wonderful, but you can’t make them a reality until you put the work in.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an actor in Film and Television. Recently, I shot my first Network tv show for NCIS New Orleans for season 7 Episode 5 and the film Dashing in December starring Andie Macdowell that aired on Paramount Network. It’s been a consistent challenge as this is one of the most competitive industries out there. I got here by consistently coaching, taking classes and finding ways to improve every day. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way are that it’s ok to make mistakes as long as you learn from them and that sometimes, if I don’t book something, it has nothing to do with me. I want the world to know that they should dream as big as they can. You can achieve it if you put in the work.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to all of my favorite restaurants. Im a big foodie and would love to share all of my favorite dishes!! I love Mexican, Asian, and seafood so i’d definitely start there. Nobu and Ocean 44 would be at the top of my list!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to recognize my husband for his consistent support in helping me achieve my dreams. My acting coaches that have pushed me to be better and my friends and family that have been my cheerleaders.
